"This was our third visit to this location, but our first time dining in the restaurant. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, which is always a good sign, but we were seated promptly. To our surprise, a friendly staff member approached us and inquired if we were unsatisfied with our table, as a fellow diner had mistakenly reported this. We reassured the staff member that we were content with our table, but we were impressed by the attention to detail and customer service. We had a pleasant interaction with the staff before enjoying a delicious and well-prepared snack lunch served by efficient, friendly, and attentive staff. After our meal, we browsed the shop and found the staff to be very helpful as we made several small purchases. Overall, it was a fantastic retail and dining experience, made even better by the lovely staff."

Excellent lunch at this restaurant. So nice to see how they’ve extended the restaurant into the garden shop area creating the outdoors indoors feeling. The food was so fresh and the staff were very attentive.

Had 2 cappuccino's and both were more milk than coffee. Couldn't actually taste the coffee and it was almost boiling making it very difficult to drink. Victoria sponge and rock cake were OK, although I would have preferred fresh cream to buttercream . Was very expensive for what we got.

Lovely restaurant attached to a very eclectic garden centre. There are 2 areas for eating ,a cafe style and a restaurant. We ate in the latter and had the light bite prawn cocktails with pot of tea and ginger beer. The service and food were impeccable and we thoroughly enjoyed it.Highly recommended

It was good food and service BUT the barista was on her phone taken photos in front of us customers in plain sight as well as other staff members getting involved. This isn't the first time I've seen this, so must happen all the time. Was waiting on my coffee and relised it was running late because the barista was taken photos of it. Let's the business and atmosphere down. Speisekarte ansehen

This garden centre used to have a cafe which was a nice place to have a light lunch rather than taking up a table in the restaurant just to have soup and a sandwich. Now they’ve take up three quarters of the cafe space with shelves of overpriced fancy goods, leaving 5 or 6 tables for lunch customers. We went there to have lunch and buy some items for the garden but all the tables were full and there was a sizeable queue waiting to pick up food from the serving area. We left to have lunch and buy the garden items at the excellent Mains of Drum and won’t be going back to Raemoir again.

Raemoir has always been my go-to spot for coffee, lunch, and gifts. However, during my recent visit, I encountered a concerning situation. While browsing, I noticed a dog wandering freely, disturbing the merchandise on the shelves. When I kindly suggested to the owner that the dog should be on a leash, he responded rudely and aggressively by claiming it was his place. As a fellow dog owner, I believe it is important to control your pet in public spaces. I was disappointed by the lack of respect shown to customers and will not be returning to a business that I have frequented since its opening.

We went for afternoon tea what delightfull time we had. We had a table outside. The wather was sunny. We had time to choose which fillings we wished in our sandwiches. Which was fresh made. As a group of 3 we shared our sandwiches their was Sausage roll as well . We had a scone with cream raspberry jam. We also had the choice of caramel slices, chocolate kraknel, victoria sponge, baby meringue strawberry tarts. 3 of each so we didnt have to fight over the choices. Plenty of coffee to wash it all down as well. We could not fault it at all. This has got to be one of our better choice of places to have afternoon tea. Im sure we will be back. Speisekarte ansehen

I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We had a terrible experience with two rude servers. First, after waiting in line for about 15 minutes, we were next in line but the server completely ignored our group (4 adults and a baby - hard to miss) and served the group behind us instead. When we finally entered the restaurant, the same server let the door slam in my husband's face. There was no table ready for us and two very rude servers debated whether they could seat us. Unbelievable. These two waitresses were extremely rude. We quickly left due to the appalling service. However, we went to Scott Skinners nearby and had a fantastic meal where we were treated like royalty. My advice is t...

Visited the restaurant at Raemoir garden centre with friends for a light lunch however, it was difficult to find anything plain on the menu. The Lite Bites menu seemed to contain so many ingredients so if you didn 't like one you were stuck. Sandwiches and baked potatoes all seemed to contain mayonnaise, coleslaw, onion or pickle etc, and if you cannot have cheese you are limited. Even the chicken salad contained bacon, caesar dressing and Parmesan cheese topped with croutons. All salads are served with red onion or avocado with a dressing on the side. Difficult if you don 't like any of these ingredients. If you want a heavier lunch such as fish and chips then this is the place to go. My fr...

"Sunday, 3rd September 2023 – 19:00 Meal: Wine Starters – Main – Coffee My friend and I arrived at 19:00 to a busy but not overfull restaurant without a reservation and they accommodated us upstairs. Menus were produced and we ordered a bottle of white wine and a jug of water. 0rders placed for starters and 2 servings of the Italian style fish stew on the ‘Specials Board’ at 26.99 each. Tomato and chilli with promises of loads of different fish. The toss up was between a steak or the stew (which neither of us would cook at home). The table was dirty and needed wiping – this request was placed 3x on the young waitron who eventually produced a cloth slopping water from a bucket in the corner cupped in her hands where she half heartedly wiped the table with water dripping onto my friend’s lap. Hurried mop up with tissues out of my bag. The white wine was plonked on the table – next to the cooler – unopened and no glasses. Several attempts were made to attract the waitron’s attention. Eventually another bottle was produced opened and we were advised the waitron was under age and not allowed to pour wine. Perfectly acceptable had she produced an opener and the glasses with an explanation I would have been happy to help myself – we understand and appreciate these things. The starters arrived and were delicious! The chef then came out to see us and explained that there was no lobster for the stew – we asked for extra monkfish, he then said there was no monkfish left – but could help us with other white fish and crab claws. He said he was down to the last 2 portions, and he would ensure they were hearty. We were a bit concerned and suggested perhaps we settle for the steak which is always delicious. He assured us we had made the right choice and would enjoy the stew. The stews arrived and were ‘hearty’ if being crammed with the contents of a tin of crab claws is your definition of hearty. The promised ‘rich tomato broth with chilli and garlic’ was a watered down version of what was clearly less than a cup of the original broth left at the bottom of the pot topped with water. It was tasteless – lacking in hint of either chilli, wine, garlic or herbs – having lived in Malta I can assure you I have a deep understanding of Med cooking. I guess we were lucky we didn’t have the salty brine of the crab claws as the broth. It was inedible and we were starving so we kept adding salt and pepper – we were beyond the point of returning the food which was a mistake in hindsight. We skipped dessert – had coffees and left. The meal came to nearly £100.00. This was an expensive lousy experience. We paid a generous tip – because they accommodated us without a reservation. Take aways from the experience: • The restaurant service on a Sunday evening at 19:00 should be as good as it is on a Friday at 19:00 • Being a local and having eaten there several times – it is my first choice for a ‘good’ meal – don’t abuse the luxury of local support. • Train your waitrons to clean tables, by wringing out the cloth and not dripping water on your patrons. • Waitrons (even under aged ones) should at least carry a wine opener, and understand that wine glasses should be produced when delivering wine. • Your chef should know better and never, ever assume he can cut costs by selling the dregs from his kitchen. • A poor dining experience costs you more than you think. We would have ordered dessert, and more importantly returned for a second meal in the next week – WE DIDN’T! I have a friend coming from Ireland in November – do I risk taking her to the Anchor?"
