A hidden treasure in the neighborhood! Each time I visit my family in Claygate, it feels like reconnecting with an old friend. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly.

I came here while over from New Zealand and loved the great English pub feel. There’s a good variety of different beer and wine (they had NZ Sav and NZ Cider . Topped off with really good food and friendly service. Well worth a visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a really nice meal here today, (Lamb Sunday roast followed by spotted dick with ice cream) service was excellent, food great and the manager (I assume) went out of his way to help and accommodate us. Would highly recommend booking as it was very busy but worth while! Speisekarte ansehen

This is hands down, the best pub food in the area, and I’ve sampled a lot. Had the lamb chops off the specials board, and my goodness, food made with love and care. My partner is adamant it’s the best fish and chips she’s ever had, and I’m inclined to agree. Just come and have a try, you won’t be disappointed., Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been to this restaurant several times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. I enjoyed scallops for my starter, followed by Moroccan lamb cutlets. My family tried the soup, snails, and pâté, as well as turkey and steak, all of which were delicious. The service was excellent as well. If you prefer a livelier atmosphere, you can eat in the bar area, but it's much quieter in the restaurant.

I highly recommend the meat rib. I didn’t read the menu carefully and overreacted when I saw the word "rib," so I ordered it with shiny fries instead of mashed potatoes and vegetables. However, that turned out to be a great choice rather than a mistake! It was a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. It might be the best and most expertly prepared piece of meat I have ever had. Plus, the bone kept my super-energetic terrier quiet for the rest of our meal! Speisekarte ansehen
