No atmosphere poor service and music played to suit staff taste would defo not be visiting again customer service was very poor

A Saturday evening and pub was not very busy. Soon found out why just short of £19 for 3 pints! Won't be going back as can't get a mortgage for another round. Speisekarte ansehen

Spent a couple of hours in here on Saturday evening, the music was fabulous, other drinkers were in fine fettle a good time was had by all, one of the best bars around in Tynemouth.

Visited on a very quiet Monday afternoon. Friendly female bartender served us two halves of the ales on cask. Blonde Star lightly cloudy as barrel just about to go but still fine to drink. Would expect to have a better atmosphere when busier.

Left a review on here about shocking treatment in Head of Steam. Head Office replied asking me to contact them. I contacted them and there was one back and forth email between us before they just stopped and never replied. Very poor customer service all round really. Speisekarte ansehen

My partner and I visited for afternoon drinks. Pleasant bar with great window seats. Bar staff very attentive and friendly. Service is good. Pieminster is now the menu there. Absolute glorious pastry, meat or vegetarian options. Glorious mash. Thank you for taking this menu on.

We walked in on a very quiet Thursday night (27/10/22) and had to wait for the bar staff to acknowledge us not a good start. Once staff noticed we were there, I asked if food was still being served please? 'No. ' Not a 'Sorry, food has stopped ', or a 'you 've just missed it, sorry about that ' just an outright 'No '. Right... So we bought two halves, necked them and left. Awful service and lovely beer

First venue on our night out, offering a good array of beers ciders with the draught Rekorderlig being a favourite of mine. Due to the proximity to the front street, all seats at the front are normally taken early which was the case during our visit so we secured the booth right at the rear, unfortunately the cleaning regime was lacking a little as the table was sticky grimey! When another in the middle became available we moved. A group of males arrived took our booth approached the bar for cleaning products, proceeding to clean the table themselves, staff need to up their game a little, mind you they did come over wipe our table down whilst we were seated, maybe that was missed as it’s not...
