"The service was very poor. We arrived there really looking forward to a nice meal out but the service was appalling. We arrived there and got sat at a table that was dirty. The waiters passed by us many times without taking our order. My daughter had to get up and get them to come to us every time we needed something. The soup that I got was served cold and the waiter's fingers were in the bowl of my soup. It took 45 minutes for prawn crackers to arrive as well as our drinks. They got the food that we ordered wrong and there was a waiting time of 1 hour and 30 mins even though the restaurant was literally empty. Please do not go here. It was not an enjoyable meal. Our drinks were served but mainly filled with ice and no beverage at all."

"The restaurant and setting are stunning the service and food not so, out with friends for dinner last Saturday 17/02/24 and we felt a little rushed by two of the team especially towards the end of the evening 10.30 or so when one waitress in particular made a point of clearing the table and returning on several occasions asking if there was anything else we wanted, Cleary not as we had paid the bill and were finishing drinks and didn't need to be asked the same question three times in 15 minutes! The food was ok! I had burger and fries, all not very exciting and my wife had fish pie which seemed to have the same temperature as the sun and was inedible for some 5 minutes or so, not a lot of fish going on in said pie but was tasty by all accounts. Would we go back........Probably not but maybe for drinks if we were passing and needed a drink. Bill came to £150 or so for the four of us with drinks."

"My mate and I met at the pub for a quiet lunchtime beer and chat..it was great to see him as we had not seen each other for years and need to catch up on news... All we got was pressure and hassle from the...staff. We had our beers..two minutes later one staff member arrived asking if we needed more drinks??..No thank you...Two minutes later another staff member arrived..You gents ok??..Can I get you more drinks??....Our beer was barely touched..No thank you we are fine.. Two minutes later another staff member arrived ...Can I get you more drinks?? Then a young man arrived..Are you gents dining with us??.. we had not planned to eat, just have a beer .. Do you have sandwiches??...No we don't was the answer. Five minutes later another question if we had ordered food??.. Different staff member arrived time after time, every few minutes to ask if we needed more drinks or if we were ordering food... We ordered food we didn't want...It was nothing special..Usual pub food that is quickly forgettable..Not great food..mediocre. Only then did the hassle stop and we were left alone to have a chat. I know there is not much profit in beer...Pubs make their money on food. But the restaurant area was not busy...We were not sat in the restaurant dining area..The table was not made up with cutlery ready for diners..No further customers were sat in our area...The table was NOT required for diners. IT IS A PUB!!...People to go pubs to drink beer and spirits, read a book, chat to other folk, play cards, read a newspaper...It a place of social gathering. All we got was hassle and pressure. I do not often write reviews..Far less write a poor report..I much prefer to give praise and say things were excellent. We shall NOT return.. Incidentally, I do know and like good food..The previous evening I dined in a pub where the chef was a past winner of the TV programme MasterChef ...However, this pub food was mediocre..."

"We visited this restaurant for a quick meal and drink. The menu offered a variety of tasty cakes and pastries at the counter. We ordered the Chicken, Cheddar, and Chilli Jam toastie, Avocado Halloumi Bagel, and a Mango Lassi. The food was delicious and the Lassi was particularly enjoyable. The service was a bit slow, likely due to the high demand, but the staff was apologetic and attentive. Outdoor seating was perfect for a nice day and for those of us who enjoy walking."

"I've written a full review on my SmarterFitter blog but here is an excerpt: the standout dish was by far the mushrooms served on celariac puree, topped with crispy kale and toasted pine nuts. The pudding was the most inventive and delicious execution of rhubarb I’ve ever had, made all the better with fennel-infused Turkish delight. I am particularly grateful to Andrew for our grand finale: a cocktail lesson featuring his own elderflower cordial...And if all that weren’t enough, The Elderflower has a dessert called “British and French Cheese Journey”. Unfortunately we had a long drive ahead of us and weren’t sure if a full stomach of cheese and wine was really wise for the road. And after all, better to leave wanting more. We’ll be back soon!"
