The Laroch Bistro - Speisekarte

This is an oasis of superb food and a real find. The welcome was friendly, the food was excellent and the service was professional. Highly recommended.

We had a very enjoyable meal at the Laroch which consisted of 2 Chicken ballotine, 1 Venison and 1 Sea bass. All very well presented and delicious. I would thoroughly recommend it.

Is there anything worse than placing your order and seeing other later tables served several courses? Eventually realised we must have been overlooked and OK meal arrived in 10 minutes. Would have thought person who took the order should check through to fulfilment? Disappointed,won’t be back.

This restaurant is fantastic! We stumbled upon it by chance while traveling and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were exceptional and very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing, so delicious and cooked perfectly. We only tried the burgers, but they were hands down the best burgers I have had in years. I highly recommend the haggis burger! The only downside is that we don't live closer to try more items from the menu.

I ordered two starters as my main dish: the goat cheese Bon Bon and the twice baked haddock soufflé, both of which were delicious. My husband opted for the venison burger, which was good on its own but he had requested extra melted cheese that was missing. The chips were mediocre and seemed to be frozen. However, the staff kindly removed it from the bill without any issue. The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere was pleasant, with locals playing dominoes in the bar area. Perhaps my husband should have chosen the venison steak, as the table next to us had it and the dauphinois potatoes looked very appetizing (even their dog couldn't resist staring at it).

Popped in and asked the question do you do take away? The answer was yes, but only basic food such as Burger and chips and fish and chips. Friend ordered a burger and chips for £8.50. Thought that was reasonable, not main menu price but obviously because it was a take away. So I ordered a kids cheese burger and chips for my daughter and a fish and chips for me, along with a bottle of water and can of Fanta... £25.35. Asked twice if I had been overcharged. No, I wasn 't, the fish and chips was £15.95!!! Absolute rip off! I asked why so expensive and they said it was because they don 't do take away food! Staff just shrugged their shoulders and said sorry, we 're not interested in rectifying....

We popped in here fora drink on a Sunday afternoon and decided we’d like to have dinner there later so we booked a table and we are so glad we did! Not only was the food outstanding and the service very friendly and professional but while we were eating lots of people came in looking for a table but they were fully booked. It seems we got the last table and would most likely have missed out ourselves if we hadn’t been in earlier in the day. We were in the area for one night, travelling slowly from Loch Lomond up to Skye. After taking in breathtaking views and clean air for the afternoon, we stumbled in to the Laroch restaurant just before 6pm on the off chance there'd be a table. We were welcomed in, given a restaurant table, orders were taken in an attentive but pleasantly unhurried fashion, and good recommendations were given on food and local beers.
