Our first visit as it is a central location to meet friends. We will definitely use the Lion again. Superb, friendly and attentive service of really good food.

the first night of our twixmas break we went to lion when we rent a holiday home in 2 minutes to foot. we had broth and oil to begin, then I had the nasty pot and my partner had the nut roast burger. my stew should die. would recommend the rioja to drink. our server was beautiful and attentive and even gave us a recommendation, which was predicted the next day as washing out (then!) the bill matched the quality of the food, drinks and service.

The pub is lovely, with a friendly and attentive staff. It's also dog-friendly, which is a nice bonus. The meat lovers in our group were very pleased with their meals, but the vegan option fell short in flavor and was a bit bland. I ordered a vegan burger that consisted of a mushroom and a slice of squash in a burger bun. I've been here before, and the burger then was fantastic, complete with delicious relish and mayo. On a positive note, I had an incredible Eton Mess for dessert, which was the best vegan dessert I've ever tasted. However, this time there were no advertised vegan dessert options. Overall, it's a nice pub with good staff, and while the meat dishes are great, the vegan options...

We left during Christmas Dinner. The food was terrible especially for how much was charged. The bar was full so people just decided to bring themselves with their children into the restaurant where our table was so we couldn't even talk to each other as there were children screaming. It ruined our Christmas day and cost us a lot of money. So upset and disappointed as I said we just got up and left before even eating our Christmas Dinner. The starter was freezing cold broccoli and I think it was jam I don't know but disgusting. The main was worse, I couldn't cut through the potatoes the gravy when I poured it was just water then a massive lump of granuals(I think/hope) just fell out and lande... Speisekarte ansehen
