wow what a place the queue was long a very busy place clean and a good selection of food staff very polite can't wait to go back again

This restaurant offers top-notch fish and chips in a town with numerous F&C cafes. In my opinion, this is the best one. I highly recommend it.

Lovely fish and chips. There's quite often a queue, so you may have to wait a bit, but I suppose that's testament to the quality of the food. Our go to chippy when in Barmouth.

The food at this restaurant was amazing. Despite the long line, the wait was not too bad. The staff were knowledgeable and polite, and there is convenient parking across the street.

The Mermaid had the best reviews for fish and chips in Barmouth and rightly so. The fish and chips were excellent. Cooked perfectly and not oily at all. Will definitely return when we’re in Barmouth. Speisekarte ansehen

Stunning Cod and Chips, visited 3 times on a recent holiday. Fresh, hot and tasty. Decent portions and good value at 9.00 (compared to countless other Shops] Service is very slow and they need to have two Servers not one stood there just taking the money.

The food at this restaurant is enjoyable, but not necessarily better than its competitors. They claim to be open until 9, but we consistently find that they close by 8. In the future, I would recommend exploring other local dining options, as they are just as good and have more reliable opening hours.

Visited here whilst passing through Barmouth. We checked trip advisor prior and this and place was dated far above the others. I ordered the fish and chips and it was up there with some of the best I’ve had. The fish was perfectly cooked, the batter was crispy and the fish flaky.
