The Moon Under Water

What’s nice about here is that there’s plenty of staff, meaning service at the bar is always fast and tables are cleared regularly. Fortunate, given how busy it was on a Sunday morning! It’s everything you’d expect from the chain but being clean makes it a pleasant place too.

Located on Watford's High Street this is a large Wetherspoons with plenty of tables across the separate sections. Finding somewhere to sit was easy and both parts of the order came pretty quickly with no complications. The result was a very efficient quick bite whilst walking through Watford.

I have a stoma. The Disabled toilet has Been out of oder for over a week. I struggled up the stairs to fix my colostomy bag. One Cublicle occupied, one I used had no lock on the door. No private or comfort for people with colostomy bags. Please get the Disabled toilet as a matter of urgency for Disabled people. Speisekarte ansehen

Visited this Wetherspoon pub in Watford for a quick late lunch and food chosen was tasty. Had the BBQ melt grilled chicken with bacon and cheese with chips and also mushroom,peas and tomato. The BBQ sauce was heavily salty for me,apart from that,everything was good. Prices were reasonable especially a meal with a soft or alcohol drink. Can never go wrong at any Wetherspoon pubs.

You know what your are going to get at Wetherspoons so no real complaints. However, since the other one in Watford closed, it is very busy. This makes getters a table taxing. I normally go on match days, so the mixing of both sets of supporters is a mixed blessing. Never been a hint if trouble but for big games it’s going to be hard to get in. At least the at table service is available which does make life easier.

Went in here on a Saturday evening, yes it was busy but plenty of bar staff on duty, but they have no idea how to serve, good staff have an idea who is next and don't continually serve people who have just come in. After we had finally got our drinks there were several tables free but were covered in plates and glasses, they were also filthy dirty as was the carpet in places. Went here only on the off chance. As we have never been to J D Weherspoon for brekfast. The only good thing here is the friendly staff and the tea,coffee, hot chocolate on tap when you go for the breakfast which is served up to 12 noon. The food when it arrived was tepid not hot at all. Some staff are rushing around on their feet whilst some staff are too busy chatting. The one thing which really put is off is the amount of customers already drinking by 10:30am???? On a hot day, I dare to imagine what it must be like when it is kicking out time. Would I go again here, not too sure.

Many restaurants and pubs do not cater to families with young children, but Moon Under Water Wetherspoon, along with other Wetherspoon pubs, are exceptions to this norm. They are welcoming to families, as evidenced by the number of parents and kids dining here. Families often come in the early evening, spend money, and leave quickly, which is appreciated by the management and staff at Wetherspoon. Everyone at the pub, from managers to bar staff, make families feel at home and do not mind the small messes that kids may create. This warm hospitality is why we continue to return to Moon Under Water Wetherspoon. Additionally, the food and drinks are excellent and reasonably priced. Thank you, Mo...

We are unapologetic lovers of Wetherspoons. However, we are not keen on this particular one. When we are away on holiday or work we always seek out a spoons but this one is in our home town and we would certainly use it more if it wasn’t for the fact that it is horribly rammed packed with some of the town’s worst, most nights. I don’t think we have ever been in where our ears haven’t been hurt by horribly noisy drunk idiots or pissed wifeys having a loud debate. We moved here after the other spoons bar in the town, the Columbia Press, was closed down. The Columbia Press felt like The Ritz compared to this place.
