The Oak W12 - Speisekarte

Had a gorgeous meal here with my partner. Food was very tasty and came very fast. The service was fantastic our waiter was very friendly. Maybe a little expensive but that’s London for you!

The first thing you see when you go through the main entrance is a wood fired pizza oven, treading on the white floorboards, and admiring the funky painted wood clad walls, filled with cool...

the service was poor, Waited 10 mins to be seated, they have a full list of draft beer but only one available, take two pizza and one was wrong. The pizza it’s amazing but could be a bit more stuffed for a 18.50£ pizza. Speisekarte ansehen

we had a really nice dinner at the oak w12. the personal is really welcoming and eating is great. To begin we had the summer cocktail (Ginn/Gier-Ale/lime/mint,) brilliant! then the salmon croquettes and the aubergine paté, I recommend the last, it was amazing. as if we had the duck ragu pasta, not the summer meal, but yummi! if they live near, they should try this place, good quality for the price! until then!

the place is very beautiful and the staff is very friendly. However, they have very limited vegan options, the 2 pizzas with optional vegan mozzarella. we have paid 10 pfunds for a margherita and 15 pfunds for a zucchini pizza. they were okay, but I had much better vegan pizzas. it is a good place if their non-vegan friends/family decide to go there, they will not starve, but I would not recommend if they want beautiful vegan pizza.

avoid this place! we didn't pay the 12.5% service fee because the service was bad (waited 10 minutes to sit, ordered drinks that never came, ignored the special question, and more. After that the waiter (young blonde man with glasses) went to another waitress and started talking about us and being rude so close that we could hear what they said. one of the worst experiences I have ever had in london will not come back. there are so many better restaurants in london that will serve them properly. the pizzas are great. not cheap, but not stingy on the portions. what was a problem was the service. They were all very friendly, but they spent all night chatting with each other. at any opportunity we had to go into the bar to ask for service; ask if someone could take our starter if someone order our drinks if someone could take our pizza order if someone could give us our bill. after the third time (that was the pizza order) they would have thought they had been scoundling, but they came back ten minutes later to say that they had lost our order. Anyway, eating was nice when we got it.

Not impressed. Ordered lamb with roasted roots. Wish I'd stuck with pizza, which they do quite well. The lamb was very undercooked, roasted roots turned out to mean three baby carrots so hard one shoot onto the floor when I tried to cut it, a couple of bits of beetroot and fennel, the latter being almost cooked. I just hope the rawness of the lamb doesn't mean I'll be ill, didn't eat the really raw bits. I only ordered the lamb because there was nothing else appealing on the menu and I wasn't in the mood for pizza. Take my advice if you go there, choose pizza, leave the rest alone. If it hadn't been a birthday treat paid for by my son, I'd have sent the food back.

the oak sits on a corner and has internal and external kitchen. it is a local, family-friendly place. we have booked a table for 7 and got inside seats so that the children have a safe place to hang out. the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about eating and drinks. the music was thoughtful and gave itself to a promising dinner. we ordered an excellent papa figos, red from portugal to go with the menu. we ordered starter: tapenade bruschetta mushroom arancini crab prawn croquettes octopus salad tapas super tasty, well presented and perfect portions of nets: pizza basilico, diavola, zucchini contadina spaghetti with bark ragu steak tagliata super tasty, good...read more Speisekarte ansehen
