Wonderfull restaurant/pub, with a great choice of beers and wine. Very well located in the heart of Cheltenham !

found this jewel of a place Saturday after our show in the theater was canceled, stayed there all afternoon, will definitely return when in cheltenham

Excellent meal and a fine selection of beers. Loved the feel of the place, it having loads of character without feeling too stuffy. I ate with colleagues, all of whom said their selection was excellent. Would definitely eat here again

Wonderful setting, and great food, wasn't impressed with the ciders on tap but can't have it all. Staff were very helpful and professional. Made to feel welcome and very good service. Could do with a pool table and a jukebox playing modern sh*t music

We went to this pub on February 12, 2022. We started with shrimp as an appetizer and then had the braided lamb shoulder. The lamb shoulder is highly recommended! It was as tender as butter! I noticed many books on the shelves, although I didn't recognize which books they were, it was exciting to see.

I booked a table for 8 in a private room on a Saturday night. The food was better than average. I ordered the steak sandwich which came with fries. I think it would have been better if it also came with a small side of coleslaw or salad. The staff was very polite, but slightly slow in taking orders and delivering drinks. I will definitely return.

When I visited The Opposite last weekend, I found it to be a beautiful place located right next to Copa. The decor and structure were quite chic and the staff was friendly. There were many different ales to choose from and the food looked beautiful. Although I didn't eat on this occasion, I will definitely consider trying their food the next time I visit.

on tour with plymouth argyle with a stop in the beautiful city cheltenham. we've been on the market with sabby wetherspoons and found this great pub and the magnificent building. completely renovated 3 years ago it has such a character and charm. the aperol splash was to die and the waiters attentive and friendly. they have an extensive menu, but not really according to our taste) and people of all age groups came to eat and use the hospitality. we were booked somewhere else, so this time not eaten.
