almost the perfect pub. good food, good beer, great location and the building itself is fantastic.

We love this place but yesterdays food was poor. Luke warm but over cooked and arrived in seconds? Be careful to time your visit right.

coffee with friends a very nice couple of hours next to a roaring fire in this picturesque, periodic building. Although we did not eat, they offered a nice menu that eats raw delicious!

had a nice dinner with friends. as we decided to go outside, the menu was limited, but all main courses and desserts were excellent. a good selection of beers and excellent employees made this a pleasant evening.

beautiful location for a huge food. reasonably priced varied menu with good options, including vegetarian and vegan. how live before place will certainly come back and the four-legged member of the budget can be another time.

this place is all that a country pub should be, but much more. eating is excellently prepared served, always hearty the selection of ales is second to none. special events such as the bierfestival in both winter summers also complement the attraction. no wonder that this place this year in derbyshire was chosen as the popular pub of camra. it's worth finding it, you'll go back.

a very nice time had the whole family in the old hall inn and I must mention what a brilliant location it is for a pub. Despite a 45-minute drive from our house in levy, we felt as if we had been on the right land, had a scenic ride, breathed into a bit of fresh air and even discovered some horses from the pub. I think that would be a brilliant place to visit in the summer, and it sounds like we were, as my mother already conjures our return.

We have visited quite a lot recently. The food is lovely, gorgeous setting and the staff are very welcoming but on our most recent visit, we were a slightly disappointed.We ordered the starter “smoked scallops” emphasis on the plural of scallops, to be served 1 scallop costing £12!I feel you need to make your customers aware that if they order this starter, it is not a wise choice to choose as a shared starter and it is ONE expensive scallop!

I visited chinley for the first time four years ago and one of the high points of the trip was after a long day of roaming the idyllic landscape down to the old hall inn. I then decided that I had to come back and that when I did, I wanted to stay inside. this trip I rented the jump cottage, a perfectly located, cozy place with bright bedrooms and tomorrow view, which I was happy every day. it is the perfect size for a couple or a small family. to walk are the railway station and several small shops that offer everything they need to get through a short visit (less than a week visit.) this is especially practical if they don't come with a car. and of course, the old hall and paper mill inn a...
