The Old Inn Widdecombe

great old pub. personal very friendly l. love the atmosphere. my meal was a toast bark roll and terrible. I got a refund. my friends pizza and ale pie yummy. overall fantastic.

We had a great evening in the Old Inn, nice environment for a country dinner, good varied menu to cater for all tastes. Seating area is well spaced out and there's a great large wood burning fire central to the room. Food was good and the desserts were amazing! Staff were great, kept checking if we needed anything. Good for large bookings or couples.

This restaurant is dog-friendly and vegetarian-friendly, and the food is outstanding. The menu offers excellent choices, and the beer garden in the back is fantastic. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The old inn truly deserves a 5-star rating as a travel destination. It's like the TARDIS—much larger than one might expect. I will definitely be returning!

Stunning location. Staff were really attentive. Very creative menu with something to please everyone, the chef's deserve a lot of credit. Even the kids chicken nuggets were superb and clearly hand made, rather than from a freezer. The brownie was delicious and the ice cream was superb... Salcombe Dairy, which is probably the nicest in Devon, so we knew we were onto a winner.

Lovely old pub in Widecombe in the moor .Great food ,good choice on menu.Was quite busy when we were there but did not have to wait to long for our food which came out piping hot .Staff were excellent .There are to parts to the pub the old then and added on part soon plenty of seating .There is also a very nice beer garden.There is a car park out the back . Definitely going back

What a fantastic dog-friendly pub! We stopped by for a drink in the sunny beer garden and ended up staying for dinner. The pizza was delicious, and our friend really enjoyed the fish and chips as well. The interior is beautiful, featuring traditional charm and plenty of seating options spread across different rooms. There are also many excellent traditional beers on tap! We will definitely be returning.

Dining here was an absolutely delightful experience! The atmosphere was beautiful. I ordered the ink fish catcher and the cake of the day, both of which were delicious. The waiter was attentive, polite, and friendly. Despite his mostly serious expression, he had a warm smile. As always, this place is stunning and definitely worth a visit. Additionally, they seem to welcome dogs, and their outdoor area is lovely.
