We had the lunchtime deal. The food was absolutely delicious and great value. Wonderful, friendly service. Highly recommended.

Lovely roast dinner, great quality, perfect beef and well presented, only thing that let it down was the food was not hot, needs to be served on hotter plates.

Outstanding food and service. £10 lunch menu includes drink. Staff very attentive and incredibly friendly. Food was incredible. We will definitely visit again and again and again.

Waited 1hr 1/2 for food poor lad serving on his own the food was ok but for price not good the chicken that was Meant to be crispy should have said rock hard and the chips where obviously frozen as where stodgy the batter on the children’s fish was over cooked and rock hard again poor for such a well advertised pub 6 people easily spending 20-30 per person

We stumbled upon this place by accident while passing through Thelwall. We decided to stop for Sunday tea. My wife had a Sunday roast, which looked really good. She even said it was the best meal she had all weekend. I had the burger and fries, which were also very tasty. The staff were really helpful and friendly. If we ever pass by again, I 'd definitely recommend this place over 'The Manor '. Speisekarte ansehen

Went for a walk today and ended up at this lovely pub. We had lunch £10 includes a drink. Wow the food was fantastic husband had Club sandwich....lots of chicken and bacon. I had wild mushroom ,buffalo mozzarella and poached egg on sourdough bread. Absolutely delicious. Such a bargain, lovely helpful staff, fab food and great atmosphere. We will be back in the next couple of weeks. Definitely recommend.

Late lunch for 5 at the pickering Arms today, heard it was new landlords .... beyond happy with out visit. The new landlady very welcoming and friendly, the young waiter was great at his job, not intrusive of our conversations while serving but able to supply all our requirements. The FOOD was beautifully presented, competitive in pricing but very, yummy. Would highly recommend and certainly will revisit, thank you

We booked a table for 2 and sat outside ,it was a sunny day. We waited 50 mins for our food, I went into the pub to ask about the food and the waitress apologised and said she would go and see where it was, then I think it was the owner stated in a surly manner its coming now .Greasy just warm chips, just warm peas, the fish was ok,but mine was very small. A very small white wine each , we didnt expect a huge one but a decent amount would have been nice. We ordered the meal and a drink for £10.each. We asked for 2 glasses of tap water and dicovered they charged us £2.45 per glass. We will not be returning. Speisekarte ansehen
