Lovely welcome, went the extra mile by helping to pick a good table given we had a baby and very friendly throughout. Very good food, as you can see by the clean plates. Plenty of parking and lovely outside space too: always worth booking for...the busier days if you can.

we went for a large family Sunday lunch after the avoidance of the coin for over a year because of bad service and bad experiences. the whole experience was much improved. the meals were nicely cooked, good portions and the young staff team friendly and helpful. well done, please keep it on the head!

they were short of wein had not the first choice, bottle put on the table said they could not open why. no fish cakes a seabread left, mushroom star good pate tasteless, we sat and sat waiting for main course saw other diners...bedient, waiter apologise said cook on itself, wait again and at the end gave up and went home. I'm sorry that the house personnel don't go back.

ordered two chicken caesar salads, which were described on the menu, as made from huhn, small gem salat, pancetta, parmesan, croutons with a caesar dressing with a soft boiled egg embroidered. when they arrived, they consisted exclusively of salat and huh with dressing. I wanted to find a worker who saw a few minutes later with two hard cooked eggs on a teller and a smoker who looked like crispy brothcrumbs, apparently that was the panketta. no sign for the rest of the infested and no rabate as apologise describes it completely undermined.

Me and my partner chose this place after being invited to an evening wedding at Kingscote barn which is a 15 minute journey away via car. Lovely friendly staff, clean modern room with perfect amenities. One down side our coffee machine didn't work but we...stuck with tea instead which there had been plenty supplied considering it was only a one night stay. Water pressure for shower was great and got hot fast. Bed very comfy, no problems with sleeping. Breakfast in the morning was amazing- we had the ragged cot breaky and eggs benedict. Would stay here again, it was nice to visit a place we would never of put much thought into prior.

We ate in one of the pods that they offer, whilst the £45 fee for the pod might seem a bit steep, the exclusiveness of the pods definitely makes it worthwhile with. The pods have heat lamps in for the winter or cooler months as...well a small lamp and a speaker to be able to play your own music which adds to the atmosphere. In terms of the food, we had the rustic breads for a starter which was very nice. For mains we had the gammon from the grill menu and the fish and chips. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and was very yummy. The gammon fairly decent and nice. Yet another failed attempt to rekindle any enthusiasm for what could so easily be a great local pub, just so disappointing. Ambitious menu, Brill and gnocchi with a tarragon and broccoli sauce was a disappointment over cooked fish and broccoli, and undercooked gnocchi; chicken...with tomato snd chorizo stew was acceptable, as was duck salad but our grandchild's burger was dry and cooked to death, she asked for some mayo that never arrived, a bottle of water which we asked to be refilled was still empty 30 minutes later, and the two glasses of wine asked for at the same time I had to go to the bar to collect myself when I gave up waiting, taking with me a pile of empty glasses that had not be...

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone that has an allergy! Please be aware what you read on the menu and what you get told is actually not what you get served to eat. I ordered a gluten free meal as I am celiac....I asked a number of times if this meal was GF and always was reassured it was. Only to get told a quarter of a way through my meal, if I’m celiac I need to immediately stop eating my food as the naan in fact wasn’t GF but a normal wheat naan. To my horror I stopped immediately! First impressions of venue and car park were great. We were seated with some confusion by a new member of staff. We consistently waited at every stage of the evening. Drinks order took forever, food order took forever. Decided to order bread and oils while...we waited for our starter, what you dont get told is that the bread arrives at the same time as your starter which was ludicrous, this took about an hour. The toasted sourdough bread arrived untoasted, no one came to do a check back to see if everything was ok and there were no staff around to speak too.
