Beautiful building from the outside, typical pub look on the inside, but definitely a great place to go for good food. The Sunday roast is delicious

Visited twice lately, good wholesome food.fresh veggies cooked to my liking. Large portions,so not tried desserts yet. Maybe just call for dessert on next visit.

Called yesterday with my wife for pint and a steak pie chips and veg we both had the same in fact. A lovely old fashioned proper pub with excellent home made food at a fair price cooked to order and great staff. Definitely recommended for a visit. Thanks

What a delightful spot! We stumbled upon it while exploring and decided to stop in for a quick pint. It turned out to be a wonderful place. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine, and I could have easily spent the whole day there. Definitely worth a visit!

We dined at the restaurant for the first time last night, and it was fantastic! The portions were generous, so we didn't even need to order a starter. The food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommend it. They offer a choice of three meats at the carvery, and the cuts were incredibly tender and mouthwatering—definitely generous portions as well. The staff is wonderful; they are attentive and accommodating, always willing to help. This is the perfect spot for a Sunday dinner, with a friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. I will definitely be returning!

Unfortunately, we arrived a bit too late for lunch, but that didn't dampen our spirits. We had the pleasure of trying their outstanding Batemans Gold Ale, which was top-notch and served by a very friendly bartender. We plan to come back and make an evening of it, especially since we can book one of the available rooms. This charming, albeit quirky pub is definitely worth a visit—it's a testament to the excellent management and staff.

Popped in on a whim as passing at lunchtime. There was a note to say they were short staffed and to bear with them, but to be honest we were served right away with drinks, asked for and received (the last lunchtime table, and were given a menu. Chose our meals and took a seat in the restaurant to chill. Not long after we were served our lunch steak pie,chips veg and I had beef chili with chips rice! Huuuge portions and lovely food.
