"We have had many home deliveries from here but never eaten in the restaurant. The food and service were outstanding, the ambience was quiet and the lighting pleasantly low without being gloomy. The biggest downside to our visit was the toilets. They are truly disgusting, being dirty worn out and cold (they are the exact same toilets as Cranberries , the first restaurant that was on these premises twelve years ago! . They do not reflect the high level of décor, service and quality of food this restaurant has to offer so PLEASE spend some money and get them renovated!"

"The restaurant was decent, but the pub atmosphere felt worn out. The menu was not very exciting, and the burger and chips were definitely overpriced at £16 considering the portion size. The presentation was lacking, with the burger looking lonely on the plate. The patty was tasty but let down by cold lettuce, which seemed to have come straight out of the fridge. I initially thought the patty was undercooked, but it was actually just the cold ingredients in the burger. I realized later that I was charged a service charge even though I ordered at the bar and paid upfront. The total bill came to £42 for a burger and chips, ribs and chips, a pint of orange and lemonade, and a pint of tap water."

"I don 't review often, but needed to say how much I love this place. This was my second stay. The rooms are inconsistent, some charming, some kind of funky, some are almost like being in a hospital (I believe that is due to handicapped regulations). HOWEVER, the food is outstanding and most important, the staff incredible. Every person so kind and helpful. We were somewhat stranded, being American, afraid to drive on the wrong side of the road and needing a lot of taxi service. Once when there were no taxis a lovely guy (who was leaving and moving elsewhere soon actually) just drove us to the place we needed to go ten or so minutes away. When I offered to pay him he waved me off,saying he enjoyed the chance to take a break and go for a drive in the country! Amazing. Also, it 's perfectly located in a charming village, you can walk everywhere within the village. In addition, we booked late on a full weekend and were told we would have to move (we had two rooms) to different rooms once each during our three nights but when we got there they had managed to work it so we didn 't, which was so helpful. And the pub and restaurant are just adorable. If you wake up extra early from being on a different time zone, there is a Costa almost right across the street that opens very early and serves great coffee, but if you are up past seven just get coffee or cappuccinos at the inn, they are delicious. They also served us breakfast when we woke up at noon and it was all off menu. Wonderful place, wonderful staff."
