It WAS one of my favourite restaurants in Berkshire. Sadly, this once great restaurant is going downhill fast. The service is no longer attentive and friendly and the food was over cooked last time I visited. Wrote some sincere thoughts on the service and food to the restaurant but never got a response. The service at this restaurant was outstanding, set in a stunning space with a skylight overhead. The dishes we tried, including the Mille feuile with beetroot, crab raviolo, and scallop with chicken, were all exceptional. The presentation was beautiful and the portion sizes were just right. In addition, the warm sourdough served with delicious butter and olive hummus was a standout. The ingredients used were all of high quality, and the staff were all fantastic. I highly recommend this place.

I have dined at this restaurant multiple times, and each visit has been a delightful experience. The food is prepared with care and passion, using fresh ingredients, often sourced from the restaurant's garden, that are in season. The flavors are bold and innovative. The bartender creates magical twists on classic cocktails, and the sommelier can always suggest the perfect wine pairing. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I always leave dreaming about my next visit.

The food was excellent, the staff provided charming and attentive service without being intrusive, and the dining room was well spaced and filled with natural light, creating a lovely atmosphere. We opted for the lunchtime special menu, which changes daily. I had a delicious chicken dish with a delightful sauce and flavorful vegetables. The restaurant's grounds are beautiful, with stunning sculptures. I can imagine it would be a joy to dine outside when the weather is warmer. We have already planned to return for another meal. we visited a Sunday dinner with family and what a great foundation. from the beautiful environment, a modern, bright, airy restaurant, attentive service and delicious food. our table tried various dishes from the a la carte menu, including the crab risotto, smoked salmon for...Starter, and then we had two roast beef, monks and the cod and all were delicious. 4 of us, family members yesterday had a late 80th birthday dinner for me here. the restaurant is light and airy, although full it did not feel crowded at all. there was a good selection of items in the menu. Two of us had the...crab risotto as starter and that was amazing. so we are flavored and cooked for perfection. we will not forget that for a long, long time you have the most important courses, 2 of lamb, 1 of mönchsschwanz, and 1 ricotta and spinach cake were all excellent. well cooked and very tastefully just 2 of us had place for sweets, 1 with the chocolate parfait and the other had ice.
