"Visited on our first night in Trieste as a bit off the tourist area Excellent restaurant and glad we made a booking as opened at 730pm and full very quickly. Staff did an excellent job given rush hour 730-8pm. Selected the fish whole sea bream from the fish trolley and perfect. Excellent red house wine as well. Highly recommend and nice little wine bar couple of doors away for a drink before or after dinner as well"

The food is excellent but the sitting is not. In the place where you leave over 100 for 2 you have to stay almost on top of each other. Too tight the place

We took the tasting menu, it was delicious and probably one of the best value for money tasting menus we’ve ever eaten. Excellent service as well. The fish was very fresh and it was a very pleasant meal.

Didn't live up to the expectations. Some courses were a hit, others a miss. It's a pity. Good service, but not very cosy (old fashioned design). The white house wine (not on the wine list) was cheap, but not very good.

Dining alone, I was a bit concerned with how I would be seated. I did not have to worry. I was seated smack in the middle. Other single diners were also well placed. Delicious and original food. Small appetisers were served between dishes. I hope to return before leaving Trieste.
