Italy is all about food and if you want to try traditional Sicilian food this quaint, unassuming and inexpensive trattoria is the place to go! Basic styled restaurant just outside the old part of Mazara del Vallo (just over the railway tracks) is very popular with the locals. Indeed it is probably worth booking to secure a table. We have an apartment stay so wanted to eat in. The reviews topped our host 's suggestions to go to Trattoria Cozze or a fancier restaurant on the waterfront. We were staying near da Giacomo and they treated us wonderfully, allowing us to take the full antipasto plus eggplant parmesian with us to reheat for a late at-home dinner. Incredible food! Go there or ask 'to take away '! Buy a bottle of Sei Corone (6 Crowns) Grecanico local white wine, which makes a perfect pairing. Mange!!

LOCALE FANTASTICO! Finalmente una trattoria con la T maiuscola. Ambiente spartano, cibo OTTIMO, servizio veloce e personale gentile e disponibile. Siamo venuti su consiglio di un’amica e ritorneremo sicuramente. Prezzi onesti, noi con antipasto, primo, dolce, acqua e birra abbiamo speso 20€ a testa. Unico avvertimento: le porzioni sono super abbondanti, non fate l’errore di ingolosirvi troppo e di ordinare troppe cose perché se no non arrivate in fondo ahaha Consigliato prenotare.

I'm italian, food lover and half sicilian. Due to this, I can truly say how delicious is this trattoria. The place is very easy going like a typical Italian trattoria and the stuff, who is very gentle, help you to choose the best dishes of the day. Starters and specially pasta are the dishes you can't afford to miss. The bill is not expensive at all. In 3 people eating a lot, we spent around 40 euros.
