Van Speyk Amsterdam

Mooie ambiance, vriendelijk personeel, mooie kaart, een beetje ouderwets, maar correct. Er lopen ook veel rond, komt van rommelige buurt buiten. Locatie is in het centrum, maar geen heup of nette buurt.

Was zeer gezellig , uitstekende bediening ; Beste ossehaas die mijn dochter ooit at ... En ze is een kenner Sukadevlees : top Barolo : heerlijk Grand dessert : uitstekend en veel smaak sensaties . Kortom : we will be back

The ambiance is very good and the place is easy to find. I enjoyed the bread and the staff is excellent . I had the Sea Bass and the fish was very good but it comes with veggies and they were sparse . They should had add more as you could hardly see them. Speisekarte ansehen

The best meal we had in Amsterdam, hands down. The atmosphere is stunningly romantic at twilight and super chic for lunch. Treat yourself to the 4 course meal, you'll be blown away with the creative yet approachable dishes and delighted with every scrumptious bite, I promise!

Perfection from start to finish! We arrived very early, as our flight had just gotten in and we knew we'd be exhausted. The staff could not have been kinder or more generous! Our meal was amazing! The ambiance was incredible! Highly highly recommend the escargot and halibut. Loved loved loved!

We went here our last night in Amsterdam and it was a wonderful meal to end our trip. We opted for the 4 course prix fixe meal with a starter, entree, cheese course and dessert. Each course was delicious and presented beautifully. The service was also impeccable. Too bad we don't live closer so we can go back! Speisekarte ansehen

Fantastic dinner. I had specials of a cauliflower soup and rack of lamb, which were superb and an appetizer of escargots. Recommendations and service were excellent. I had a great dining experience and recommend. Also, I never felt self conscious as a solo diner/traveler, which is a subtle but important point iykyk.

2nd visit but 1st since May 2013. Rich, Dutch food. Prices more in line with similar restaurants and not a bargain as 10 years ago. That's due to their continued quality! Main issue for me was bathroom downstairs. My bad leg had issues with steep, spiral steps! Food ok. Had mushroom soup plus chicken dish; other half had mushroom soup and halibut dish. Tasty but very small portions now. Service by 2 gentlemen was excellent and attentive. May or may not return on next Amsterdam visit since so many choices.

Currently this is the most underrated restaurants in Amsterdam phenomenal, probably Michelin level cuisine. Their vegan ceviche is genius and really everything there is top notch, has surprising/brilliant flavor combinations...the chef is really top notch. That said I saw bitterballen on their Instagram recently I'm worried they may be trying to cater to the lowest common denominator, which really would be tragic. (Seriously, if all you want is botterballen, go to Febo or virtually any other Dutch bar/restaurant and leave this gem to us foodies. Speisekarte ansehen
