"We were staying in Vicopisano and whilst chatting to other visitors we were advised about a great dining experience whilst they were in Buti, as it was only a stones throw away we deciddd to give it a try, So so glad we did too, aware it only opened from around mid-day to 15.00 for lunch, we made our way, there was no menu for lunch, the owner did advise what was on offer (there isa menu for evening dining) we were shown to a table, all very tastefully done out in old with a modern take style, very clean and spacious, We were given the choices of the day, I had spaghetti and tomato sauce (very tasty and lots of it) my wife had a mushroom and basil lasagna, yep, very very tasty and again, a large enough portion, along with bread (homemade I think) olive oil, a complimentary starter of zucchin with crispy bacon, which was absolutely devine and for desert, a taster size selection of four homemade cakes, again, just so tasty, with two soft drinks, a coffe and it didn’t even come to €20.... a real find, think it’s not been open long but can only see it thriving, would have loved to fine there in the evening in the square at Buti, however, the holiday just wasn’t long enough, if we’re in the region again, we’ll certainly be making another visit for an evening meal. Wonderful"

"Locale in zona limitrofa al centro, giovane, con una buona scelta di proposte. Purtroppo, una delle nostre scelte (il vegetariano) si è rivelato davvero deludente, oltre che caro senza motivo: praticamente vuoto, il mix griglia consisteva in soli 3 pezzetti di zucchina grigliata. Ci siamo rimasti male perché amiamo le paninerie e i burger ma il panino era davvero scarno. Inoltre, nonostante il prezzo, il panino non comprendeva la spirale di patate (compresa in altri panini proposti alla stessa cifra).. Magari riproveremo, sperando di mangiare un super panino bello farcito!"

"We visited La Rocca on a beautiful hot summer evening and sat just outside the amazing dining room on the patio. We had the most amazing meal, everything including the wine that was recommended for us was excellent. My husband and I picked the selection of starters that gave you a taste of all the starters on the menu, I expected one little bit of each but we got a large portion of each starter, really worth paying for. I then had the rabbit which was really tasty and my husband had the pork our two kids had the Calamari selection which they loved, they both had Pasta for starter, Would highly recommend this restaurant and hope we may visit it again before we move from our Villa in the next week. We were worried about visiting it because no body had reviewed it since 2016. But it is definately worth visiting."

"Il locale è stato rinnovato e si è ampliato. Buone le pizze, ricche di ingredienti di ottima scelta, suggerisco la polenta con sughi del giorno, la cacciagione in salmí e i dolci al cucchiaio."

"Il locale è molto interessante esteticamente ed il cibo è ottimo. L'unica nota negativa consiste nel fatto che in alcune pietanze il cuoco abbonda troppo con il sale. N. B. Un consiglio per voi utenti che io scrivo sempre nelle mie recensioni riguardo la ristorazione: quando andate in un ristorante, alla fine del vostro pasto chiedete sempre di visitare la cucina del locale, perché avete il diritto, come clienti, di visionare l'ambiente in cui vengono preparate e cucinate le pietanze che voi mangiate e pagate, quindi verificate anche le condizioni igieniche della cucina. Se il titolare od il responsabile di un ristorante si dovessero rifiutare nel soddisfare la vostra richiesta, significa che hanno qualcosa da nascondere, percui diffidate di quel locale e non tornateci più. Il titolare di questo ristorante è stato così gentile e disponibile nel farmi visitare tutta la cucina ed anche i locali per il lavaggio dei piatti e delle stoviglie in genere."
