"We ate lunch and dinner here the same day because we were in Florence for only one day. We had pizza at noon, but saw some pasta dishes we were interested in, so we also booked dinner reservations. Lunch went well and we were served by friendly servers, but when we returned to dinner, our waiter appeared less than enthusiastic to work and rather tired. He did not provide any additional information about everything on the menu and when I told him that I screamed what was “artichoke flan” he was just leaving the table to start on our drinks. So I saw it, but he didn't try with any description that's safe. We also ordered a bottle of the only Sauvignon Blanc on the menu, but at the time our pasta dishes came, the wine had not yet arrived. We tried to eat our dishes until wine could accompany it, but we had to wave a server to explain that we had ordered wine. A manager (the only employee wearing a suit) explained that they were out of this bottle and we would like another. We went back because we had about two bites left of our pasta dresses and there were no other Sauvignon Blanc options. He apologized. Then our original server came over some time later to ask how everything was and collect our shells. My daughter asked if we could get the check, and I explained we were trying to catch a train, and he asked us if we wanted dessert. We said no, and then he left. In the next ten minutes he continued to serve drinks and take orders at all his other table, but kept eye contact with us, but not knowing if he got the check or not. I finally asked my daughter to go ready, and we started collecting our things and that is when the manager immediately appeared with our check. The really uncomfortable part about it was our server and the manager could be overheard when the manager found out that we had not received our wine and then our server seemed insulted. At a point where they argue, I asked if everything was okay because our server looked so angry. It's really awkward and I didn't even complain"

Posto meraviglioso! Servizio celere ed impeccabile. Prezzi in linea con il centro città in ambiente informale. Piatti a dir poco deliziosi, contornati da un vino eccellente. Da ritornarci!

We went to have lunch during our holidays in Firenze. We decided to reserve with The Fork because we had the 20% discount on the bill (only on the food, drinks excluded). We had the discount applied, but they made it up by charging us 5€ for each coffee. No comments

I was a college student visiting from the states. I had a pizza that was made very well and tasted good and a glass of wine. The white wine was of exceptional quality. The staff was very friendly, and the view of the square is gorgeous. The prices may seem a little steep, but taking into account the location and atmosphere it was well worth it.

Degna erede dello storico Caffè Donnini, la Vineria del Re si conferma un ottimo locale dove gustare un buon aperitivo in un ambiente elegante e di qualità. Tranquilla e riservata la saletta interna, panoramico ed accogliente l'ampio dehors esterno. Prezzi commisurati alla qualità proposta ed alla location. Personale cortese e disponibile.
