The Friar Penketh - Speisekarte

This popular Wetherspoons in Warrington offers a standard menu with good quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. I tried the haddock and found it to be very tasty.

Great spoons this one. Tucked away down a side road in warrington, this place is our go to bar on regular nights out in the area. Prices , obvioulsy , are great, staff are happy and chatty. always a great experience when we go there.

Not impressed at all.Two staff on.When I eventually got served an older gentleman served me and was very abrupt.I asked if they took blue light card and I got a straight no.I asked for a bottle of cider he didn't offer me a glass and the food was not the best. Speisekarte ansehen

Had veggie breakfast which is always good but could do with minor changes instead of cold beans hot would be preferable, a cold mushroom infact the hottest items on the plate where the hash browns and quorn sausages, even the plate was cold which would have at least kept the food warm.

Went here for a friend’s 18th birthday. The staff were very friendly, I got chatting to the girl who served us at the bar. She was lovely, I hope she’s having a good time right now. The food was also really good in my opinion: I got pasta, it was very tasty. Only downside is that, being a spoons, the atmosphere was loud and honestly a little bit overwhelming.

Spent the afternoon at The Friar while waiting to see a gig at Parr Hall. We had a wrap and chips with a drink and it was delicious. Despite the place being jammed to the rafters, the staff were friendly, helpful and the food arrived in good time. The pub was clean and the tables hade been wiped down before we reached our table. All in all, we had absolutely no complaints we'll certainly visit again next time we're gigging around the corner. Speisekarte ansehen

I decided to check out this restaurant while working in the area, and I was very disappointed. Our mixed grill was served in just 2 minutes, which was a red flag. I asked for my steak to be medium rare, but it looked like it had been cooked the week before. The slices of ham were thicker than the meat. Despite the nice atmosphere of the place, I left hungry after what was supposed to be a kids' mixed grill. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog, let alone my children. Never again.

We ordered a 10oz Gammon with eggs and a large Mixed Grill at the restaurant. The 10oz Gammon consisted of two thin slices that were very dry and almost inedible. The Mixed Grill included thin slices of Gammon, Chicken, Lamb, Steak, and 2 Pork Sausages. The Sausages were decent, but the rest of the meat was overcooked and so tough that it was difficult to cut with a knife. Both meals also came with fried eggs that were overcooked. Although we may return for drinks, we will never dine here again.

Having been to the establishment previously, and discovered it to be quite good I decided to return with two friends on Saturday 10th December 2022 for breakfast. I was surprised to note that when I arrived that there weren 't many people around, and more importantly, no-one eating. That should have warned me! My order was taken quickly and indeed the food arrived very shortly after that. Unfortunately, that was where any allusion to customer service was evidenced. My bacon was cold, as were the baked beans and when I pointed this out to one of the staff she turned to the 'manager ' and said, There is a complaint about the food.
