I went to The W and F for lunch yesterday with a friend and it was my first visit. The atmosphere was lovely and the food and service were excellent. I will definitely be recommending it to others.

Outstanding, as always. The food is high quality, the service is kind, relaxed, and on time. The prices offer great value for the money. This restaurant is equally appreciated by me, along with The Warwick, each with its own unique qualities.

Food was great worth the price, but found the high table quite uncomfortable, had booked and told this was only one available when booked so accepted as cant be helped, so was surprised when others came in after who hadn't booked they were given normal tables chairs, for this reason only won't be returning seemed unfair, also not very warm atomosphere, although young lady with dark hair appeared freindly nice.

This restaurant experience was absolutely terrible. We sat at the coffee bar to eat, but had to go to the bar twice to ask for drinks. One staff member ignored us, another was too busy chatting with someone else, and the other waitress was the only one actually working and running the place. The food took 50 minutes to arrive, and when it did, the poached eggs were overcooked. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we will not be coming back.

Sunday lunch for a group of 13 people, good service attentive and all staff were really great. Food was amazing, all delivered at the same time (most had Sunday roast which was one of the best I've had), the desserts were incredible too we had struggled to find somewhere that could accommodate us all but the W&F couldn't have been more helpful. Real buzz to the place, great atmosphere would highly recommend for an informal Sunday lunch. thank you, all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it.

The manager is super rude! Booked a table, there was no record, we got seated though. Ordered sharing board of fondue, this was really bad, not a fondue I’ve ever had before, more like hot cream cheese flavoured soup, there wasn’t even a candle in the bottom. (Not actually needed as there was no actual cheese to keep melted) when highlighting the disappointment of the cheese soup to the manager. It was changed but again really not a fondue! The food was delivered to a different table. The manager was not polite, just rude. Clearly hates her job. Such a shame could be a really nice thing to have a proper fondue somewhere.

We dined here for the 1st time saturday evening, the place was very busy and loud, 1 of us ordered a starters, while us others watched as we were hungry haha. our mains came 3 had the duck 1 had the pork belly, i must say you dont get alot for the price you pay, the mains were warm and not hot, we mentioned this to the waitress she said she will pass on our comment, that was all she said didnt hear anything back. My partner and I ordered the Chocolate fondue, looked pretty but again wasnt alot there for £16 couple of bits of waffle, square brownie, after eight mint a few bits of fruit and some marshmellows. Would we come back, food was tasty but expensive, yes for a drink but not for food.

Absolutely awful. Booked for 11am, got put on a low coffee table although it had been reserved for ages. Waited 1 hr and 15 for brunch and that was after complaining. Poached eggs were hard boiled. Pancakes were disgusting. One of the waitresses was too busy chatting to a friend at the bar to bother asking if anything wrong. Left to a young girl to handle all the complaints, who was brilliant but rushed off her feet. Quality of food less than poor. Service non existent. Was supposed to be celebrating the birthday of a dear friend who’s no longer with us and it was just an utter disaster. We have been offered all the food and one bottle of Prosecco free!!! Not sure what happened here, heard really good things, good reviews and the photos of the food look lovely. Got there and it was empty. I reserved a table with low seating but was given a high seating one after being told everything was reserved.. despite it being empty and 16:30? The menu is small, now I appreciated a small menu but there was not a lot of variation. Smallest menu I’ve ever had. The bread and olives were lovely! I’d recommend those but it’s a shame about the main. I had an aubergine steak stake and it was cold through. The vegetable was so tough I had to use my partners steak knife!
