"We come here quite often and I really like it. Yes, it's quite basic, but the staff are welcoming, the cakes are excellent and the kids have a good time playing. I love the Victoria sponge in particular. It's light, fluffy and, like everything else they serve, clearly home made. The latte is nice but I tend not to like my coffee too strong so it may not be to everyone's taste. Have had lunch here a couple of times. Good homemade soup and I really liked the burger roll. It's no-nonsense food so if you're looking for haute cuisine, it's not the place for you. The kids love the play area and enjoy it more than some of the soft play places they go to because there's plenty to fire their imaginations. It can be busy at times but there's plenty to do. The farm shop sells excellent produce and the kids love going out to feed the cows with the veggie scraps the shop provides for them."

Disappointed that we made the 25 mile trip. Staff are completely unaware of what basic manners are, let alone customer service. Food was terrible, soup tasted old and like it was from a tin. Wouldn’t return!

The restaurant offers excellent service, delicious food, and a new meat storage system with fresh vegetables. We both enjoyed the daily soup, which we rated 10 out of 10. I also had a delicious burger. Highly recommended.

We love coming to the farm, foods always great, staff are friendly and welcoming, loads for the kids to do/play with. also sell fruit vegetables and things through in the shop area. They supply scraps quite often for the kids to feed the cows. we visit quite alot and couldn't recommend it enough.

Woodside Farm will provide you with a warm welcome. The food is fantastic......homemade soups with choice of a roll, cheese scone (personal favourite) or oatcake with a variety of other options freshly made to order with local produce. The baking selection provides you with a difficult choice to make! The children's menu has a good variety with healthy options included. The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient. Great indoor play area for children with seating around so you can relax enjoy your food and observe. Shop provides a variety of home grown veg, farm meats and local produce including biscuits, jams and chutneys to name a view. An excellent choice any time of year.

Another “Google” find as I was touring this area. The signposts say “Farm Shop” but inside it’s amazing. A huge room full of soft play apparatus, plus swings, slides etc etc! But separately is an enclosed room for coffees, lunches and all things “home-made” awesome! Not the least bit expensive and was very busy (school holidays! but seemingly well run by the smiley pleasant ladies in charge. It’s a good idea to keep the noisily playing children apart from those who want a quite drink, and it works. Mothers and fathers can take their refreshments into the play area though. The attached farm shop had all things veg and fruity and it looked good. The car park is actually the quiet large farmyar... Speisekarte ansehen

We unexpectedly discovered this farm shop and cafe while searching for a place for a late lunch. The menu was delightful, offering sandwiches, soup, jacket potatoes, and more, all freshly made. We enjoyed ham sandwiches and a slice of cake, which were all delicious. For our 21-month-old son, we ordered a child's meal consisting of a sandwich, a few Quavers, grapes, cucumber slices, and a small chocolate bar (given after he finished his main meal, which was convenient). There is a spacious play area for children with plenty of toys. The farm shop was well-stocked and appeared to have a steady flow of customers. As we were leaving, the lady at the checkout told us we could take some cabbage le...

My family and I stopped at this restaurant because my son loves animals. He was a bit overwhelmed by the large number of cows, both old and young, but he enjoyed it. Unfortunately, there were no birds or poultry due to Foot and Mouth disease, but hopefully they will be back soon. We found the cafe for lunch and enjoyed our meals - I had the soup and sandwich combo, my wife had the tuna panini, and our son had the kids combo. We all liked our food. There was also a basic indoor play area that kept the kids entertained. Our son ended up finding some toy horses for sale, making it a costly day! If you enjoy local produce, be sure to visit the shop which had fresh ingredients and frozen meats. O...

"Genuinely couldn't fault the experience. When I heard that the Drouthy had a new menu focusing more on a veggie and vegan base, I knew I had to give it a whirl. The starter of hot Smoked salmon with lemon creme fraiche and oatcakes was simple yet packed full of flavour. I could have easily have had 10 plates of that and been happy to give it 5 stars. My partner had the smoked duck and even though I have given up meat, I was salivating at the look of their dish. They assure me that it was as delicious as it looked. Served with lavender roasted potatoes (which I'm told were amazing and charred salsify. The mains were more than a match for the brilliant starters. If I could give one piece of advice, it would be get the beetroot risotto. Not being a massive fan of beetroot, I wasn't too sure about it. But the incredibly warm waiter (for my son's, I never got his name. I only hope he can forgive me if he reads this! assured me it was tasty. He was not wrong. Beautifully cooked vegan risotto with balsamic beetroot chunks, shiitake mushrooms and rocket, it was simply divine. WHEN I go back, I'll be hard pressed to go for anything else because it was so delicious. It was creamy, packed full of flavour and cooked absolutely perfectly. Just the right amount of bite, nowhere near being mush like you get in a lot of other places (who charge a lot more, by the way . Superb. The highest of compliments to the chef. I was so taken by my dish I forgot to ask how my partner's was until I had eaten all of mine. But their home made vegan tagliatelle had disappeared from the plate so it must have been amazing. I couldn't handle dessert so had a delicious ruby port (delaforce I think it was called , and I would also like to give credit to whoever came up with their wine list. It covered every single base and no-one could ever be disappointed. Finally, if you're ever in Elgin, please make sure this is one of your destinations. You will leave extremely happy."
