We love the food and service here, very homey and portion is big! My 4 years old son said this is the best breakfast in the whole world.

Sorry don't recommend. Invited in by owner, and then left ignored by him and staff. Left after some minutes of waiting (was grateful that there was a book to read!

Stopped here on a wet and miserable Friday morning and were treated to one of the heartiest breakfasts we've ever had. A little hidden up a small street, exactly the sort of place you hope to find, a pity we were only here for the week or we'd be back again faster.

I am a local resident, but I had never been to this restaurant before. It turned out to be the best breakfast I have had in a long time. The sausages were particularly delicious and filling, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of food. I would definitely return to this restaurant. We have been to this charming traditional cafe twice this week (up to now). If you're looking for a good cup of tea, this is the place to go. However, the main reason we came back was for the 'Lob Scouse' they offer for £5.95 - it's a delight! The cafe is a family-owned business with welcoming staff who serve delicious, well-prepared meals at reasonable prices.

What a treat! We booked ahead because we wanted to make sure our party of six adults, one child and a medium sized dog could be accommodated so glad we did as it seemed a popular place. We had a mix of full breakfasts and baps that were really good portion sizes of great quality food very tasty. The fried bread was apparently the best my husband and son had had in years. My grandson enjoyed the jam butties children’s menu and a chocolate milk shake in a cute bottle. Mac golden cocker spaniel was given some water and offered a sausage . We meet at this Little Gem of a Cafe every 2-3 months. We are all Serving Members of The Royal Logistic Corps and decided some years ago now to meet up every few months for a breakfast. So glad we choose this Caf. The owners Karen and Kevin, Kev being an RLC member himself , look after us so well when we have our get togethers. The Hearty Breakfast is a Real Hearty Breakfast is enjoyed by all, and leaves you feeling full and well fed, You don 't need to eat much else for the rest of the day . All the breakfast items are of a high standard especially the sausage and bacon which is of exceptional Quality tiger bread toast with the salty butter also goes down a treat .
