"I have been a regular patron of this pub for over 50 years, although I don't visit very often. It is a lovely Kentish pub located in a picturesque village. On a chilly Tuesday night, I met up with three friends. We hadn't made a reservation, but luckily there was space for us near the fire. There were a few locals and one of them was playing music by The Rolling Stones. I like the Stones, but it was too loud to have a conversation. One of my friends politely asked the landlord to turn it down, which he did. However, as the night went on, the pub felt colder. Only one of the three open fires was burning at the far end of the room. My friend suggested we move closer to the fire as I was freezing. I even ended up giving away my warm parka to stay warm. By 9:30pm, we were the only ones left in the pub. It seemed like the logs in the fire were not burning properly. Despite the cold, we were enjoying ourselves and I went to the bar at 10:14pm to buy one last round of drinks, thinking that the pub might be closing soon. The beer and wine were both fine, but the atmosphere felt a bit lacking. I hope it was just an off night and that the pub will go back to its charming ways. It reminded me of the book "Bleak House" - full of memories from happier times in the past."

We had a great meal and drinks at this fantastic old pub. The food is amazing and the drink selection is superb. Great real ales and craft lagers and ciders make this a real find!! Situated in a beautiful village.

We went here for drinks after wine tasting, nice selection of gins, and excellent rhubarb cider on tap. We didn’t try the food but the pub was busy, landlord stayed on top of the crowds, we sat and had a pleasant couple of hours and...would definitely go back again.

First time visit to this pub and was really impressed. Staff were very friendly and we were well looked after, despite this being a busy day. We didnt wait long for any course, but not so much that we felt rushed. The food was great...and huge portions our whole party were stuffed and a great range of beers. Great value as well so will definitely be returning

Tucked around the corner opposite the church this pub seemed quieter than our usual in Shoreham however we decided to give it a try. Food was very good. Mum had the fish cakes and at her age she can be a bit fussy however she...said they were delicious and ate the lot! I enjoyed a terrific sandwich on extremely fresh bread which was served with just a few crisp, fat chips. Perfect. Service was prompt and friendly. A very pleasurable lunch. Will go back for sure.

My wife, friend, and I enjoyed a delicious Sunday roast lunch at this restaurant. The roast was nicely cooked and presented, and the portion size was fair. I opted for the full monty, which included roast pork, beef, and lamb with a side of heavenly gravy. The roasted juices were delicious, and we finished off our meal with a chocolate fondant and a refreshing pint of Doombar ale. Overall, the large traditional menu offered a delightful old-world dining experience. Speisekarte ansehen

Let me set the scene: It was a quiet Saturday morning and as I reminisced about the day before, I was suddenly awakened by a rumble in my stomach. After exploring my options, I stumbled upon a family-run Italian pizzeria called Pizza Gogo (similar to Pizza Nono). My favorite pizza was something more than just a deep pan pizza - it was Ye Olde George Inn, my ultimate favorite. Excited, I put on my hiking shoes and embarked on a culinary pilgrimage to my favorite spot. The restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. I ordered my go-to meal - a juicy burger - and eagerly awaited its arrival. When the burger finally arrived, the aroma filled the air and my trip down memory lane began. I wa...

Went on Saturday night after being at the mount vineyard down the road. The pub was packed with music playing. On our way in the landlord who was sat outside stopped us and said they weren’t serving drinks anymore. This clearly wasn’t true as we...could see the barman serving drinks. I said that it was only 10pm and he replied rudely ‘it’s been a long day, we aren’t in London you know’ (huge judgement being made about where we are from. I live in Sevenoaks). So anyway we said fine we will go to the Kings arms down the road and he told us that would be shut too. We went to the kings arms and it was open... as you’d expect a pub to be at 10pm on a Saturday night. We stayed just over an hour an...
