"AVOID THIS PLACE We went here last night after a couple of drinks as there wasn’t much choice left to grab food. We sat and ate some of the worst food I’ve tasted in Edinburgh, cheap sauces and hugely processed rubbish. We got our cash ready to pay and we’re told that display prices above the counter were wrong and they charged us roughly double those prices. After half eating the food we couldn’t bare we sat for a couple of minutes. From behind the counter he started screaming at us so randomly to get out if we weren’t eating baring in mind we’d just finished our nasty overpriced food. He then started shouting at another quiet man who was sitting on a bench located in front of the glass cabinet because he was to close. Don’t put a seat there if people aren’t allowed to use it!? Feeling very disappointed and violated, we went on our way. Will be reporting to trading standards too as this really affected us last night. God knows how they treat all other customers."

Good late night kebab house, really busy . We all had the Shawarma kebab and sat inside to eat, the Shawarma was large and packed with flavour

I had falafel in pita bread. Clumsy and messy, really not eatable. Falafel was dry and not so tasty. Not enaught space to sit and eat, TV was loud and annoying, wires hanging from everywhere.

The sauce was pasta sauce with chilli powered in it. The kebab tasted like it was a week old. The food was terrible and made me feel like after it. The prices in the menu are not the prices they will charge you. This is not worth your time or money. But it’s a good laugh it u like laughing at terrible food Speisekarte ansehen

Ordered falafel pakora wrap. Got it opened NO pakora..... fundamental mistake too far away a third of the way through it !!! To go back Salad used to be in separate containers now all in one bowl Sadly staff changed, food changed NOT for the better Don't think I'll be back definitely not worth the travel now.

So. So. So. RUDE! Rushed us to order then walked away when we didn’t order fast enough. We sat at a table and I guess the employee decided as soon as we sat down the room needed to be rearranged. He literally pulled the table away from me WHILE I WAS EATING! I’ve never had something so strange or so rude happen in any place of business I’ve ever been. With so many choices around the area, just skip this one.

"Was waking around looking for a place for brunch and stumbled across this beautiful little cafe like being in your own living room. The guy serving was extremely pleasant and kind, when I ordered the Scottish breakfast I asked for no black pudding and he kindly added in a square sausage. It was all delicious. "Outstanding. Deserving of every 5 start rating, an absolutely delicious place for a wrap, soup or salad. This saved my culinary day. The owner is a lovely resident of Edinburgh, Omar. The wrap was simple, humble and delicious. I really enjoyed the fusion of flavour with Sudanese and Mediterranean Flavor. The chili harrissa with preserved lemon was just outstanding. Wraps and Salads are always available as is the delicious Vegan Banana, Oak and Sultana cake. They have a more extensive menu that is available weekends. If you would like to try on a weekday, give the restaurant a call to see what they have available. Truly a gem in Bruntsfield. "Tiny and intimate basement restaurant in Stockbridge with a warm welcome and genuine authentic Italian food which is an order of magnitude above even good Italian eateries. The young couple who own and run it (husband front-of-house, wife cooking) do a fantastic flavour-packed 5- or 7-course tasting menu, with the a la carte option on Thursday and Sunday. We shared a charcuterie platter to start (all sourced from a mountain village in the Marche, with crusty focaccia and peppery olive oil; followed by sweet (and v tender) octopus for my wife and and perfectly cooked, savoury wild mallard breast with pistachios and cavolo nero for me. Brilliantly done, deep deep flavours. As a pudding the goat cheese Seada with figs and honey was absolutely superb: a crispy deep-fried “raviolo” filled with salty goat cheese and balanced by the honey. To kill for. Not joking. Good selection of less-known Italian wines, including several from the Marche region. Not ridiculously expensive, cosy and great vfm. Lovely folk too; food made with love and hospitality."

"Food was lovely. Had a white chocolate and lavender hot chocolate which was so so good. Service was really quick. We only had the table half 11-half 12, we did assumed we would have the table toll 1pm. They were rushing a bit to take our orders as there was another table due at half 12 so felt a little rushed. Drinks and food came really quickly and the waitress kindly shuffled some things around so we had our table till 12:45 which was better. But the next table came in at 12:43 and we were told to leave. It was quite expensive came to nearly £45 for 2 breakfasts and 2 hot drinks. But it is in the centre of Edinburgh and you get a good amount of food in the breakfast. So I'd say it is worth the money!"

"what a wonderful experience that has been removed from the water in leith is ostara an absolute joy. I was here for dinner and was thrilled with the whole experience that it was great to eat itself. I have to say, it's the first time I really appreciated the texture in a court, because everything was so well balanced. the menu is small, but I really believe that ostara is a perfect example for a place that is a small menu where everything is made perfect. everything on it is with such care and attention that they can be sure what they choose, it will be wonderful on eating the workers before the house wonderful. not even we felt hurried or harassed, nor felt neglected or ignored. the personal was friendly and attentive and made the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable I am so glad that this restaurant has found and will return to try their breakfast and lunch menu if I can!"
