"Walked past and thought it looked lovely, booked a table for 7.30 so we could pop across the road and enjoy a drink first. Lady server kindly put a reserve sign on an outside table underneath the canopy. Came back to find our table had been allocated to someone else. They brought a new table out which was wonky). However as no room under the canopy, we were on the pavement. 5 minutes later it started to rain so we had no option to move inside. Would not have needed to if they had given us our original table. Now I could have forgiven that had the food been exceptional, sadly not . I had the meatballs, which were so dry i had to ask for a sauce/dip to accompany them. The meal which included boiled rice salad was dry and of poor quality. My other half ordered lamb moussaka. The comment was it was ok but could not see much lamb. When the bill came we saw why, they had given her a vegetarian moussaka ! We pointed this out to the waitress, no apology and no interest, shrugged her shoulders and walked off. On a side note another table had the bill brought to them 3 times as they had been charged for extra items that had not been part of there meal."

This place is a hidden gem! It is definitely one of the best spots in London with incredibly welcoming staff. We can't wait to visit again.

Visited on Friday my husband had the Lamb and I had King Prawns in a cream sauce both lovely and very tasty would visit again if visiting Hampstead

Nice food, drinks, decor, atmosphere. Service good too. I had chicken as main course which was well cooked. Portions are not big but not very small either

Yesterday, I had the most delicious Iskender Kebab in London at Zara Restaurant. The restaurant had a lovely decoration that caught our attention and made us want to try the food. As a family, we were all pleased with the meal and the atmosphere. Although the prices were a bit high, the quality of the meal was definitely worth it. One downside was that when I ordered the Sour Cherry Juice, I expected it to come in a larger glass but it was served in a small glass.

I was passing by this lovely looking restaurant and thought I'd stop for lunch. I ordered the Tavuk Shish at £15.90. The meat and the rice was cooked very nicely. There was a very, very, small portion of side salad. It was all served and cooked very nicely but I found the portions very small. The total bill including service was £17.90 but I was still quite hungry afterwards. Seeing as rice and basic salad isn't at all expensive I think the price for a few cubes of meat is a bit too much.

We had been in hospital visiting my grandad all day. Left feeling hungry. This gem of a restaurant is just around the corner from The Royal Free. The staff are fantastic friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They took the green peppers out of my dinner. The food is absolutely delicious. The best Turkish food I've ever eaten! My only disappointment was for desert there was only one pear left, so my sister and I had to share it. I cannot rate this restaurant high enough... wish it was closer to home.

We have visited Zara three times over the past decade. The first time, we were served a lamb dish that did not actually contain any lamb. On a recent visit, we arrived at 11:45am only to be told they don't open until 12 and refused to serve us a drink or take our order. Today, we arrived at 4:45pm to find the restaurant only lightly occupied, but were told the kitchen was closed due to being busy. The waitress did not even offer us a drink and said the kitchen would not reopen until five, yet still did not take our order.
