Zara's Spice Indian Cuisine

I called up early on Saturday evening to reserve a table for two and the staff obliged in full. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food and service was excellent.

We visited tonight, the first time with the children for banquet night. Delicious food. Efficient service. Very accommodating and patient with the children. Will definitely be re visiting. Was very busy so I would recommend booking in advance on a Wednesday. Thank you very much Spice Den!

Fabulous takeaway! We both agreed the best Indian takeaway we have ever had. Lamb tikka dhansak was delicious as were all the sides and the sag paneer was with actual paneer (no cheddar or coconut and very good. Whenever we decide to have an Indian meal out we always choose the Spice Den in Lowestoft. This also applies to a takeaway. We have spent a number of celebrations there. Anniversaries, birthdays etc. Today 26th July was my 76th birthday and we had a family meal there. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the staff were excellent. Definitely a 5 star rating.

I've had several meals from here as takeaways and up to last time it's been good. We had lamb tikka and chicken tikka last time but couldn't eat it as it was way too salty . I gave it a miss for a while up til tonight, ordered takeaway and collection. Straight forward meal , chicken korma pilau rice onion bajee and pompidoms. The rice was like boiled rice ,the korma was so watery and tasteless and pompidoms inedible as they tasted of old burnt oil. Very disappointed and won't be going back

We had a one night stay in Lowestoft, and a wander down the High Street looking for somewhere to eat was somewhat lacking. inspiration. We’d already walked past the restaurant once, and it as one of those ‘we might as well try here’ moments, rather than a deliberate choice. Well, I’m glad we did! The food was just great, and the service was attentive and efficient. I was determined to try something different, rather than fall into the old trap of ordering something I know I like. My chosen dish, king prawn aimee, was just fantastic definitely up there with the favourite dishes I have ever had in a curry house. Speisekarte ansehen

Went for a meal out with elderly parents never have I been in a Indian restaurant and had a experience of a rude and unwelcoming gentleman. Sat down because we were unable to eat anywhere else, he obviously thought we would not order much food. He came to take or order and he just got worse The food came and some we just could not eat, he did knock this off the bill but unfortunately it was too late he had made us unhappy from the start, this restaurant dose not deserve customer. If you check my trip advisors review I never complain unless it necessary, I like to give credit where it due, but unable to make once nice comment.

Absolutely disgusted with this restaurant, to be ripped off is an understatement! I Asked for a glass of melbec to go with the meal witch was being served,, I was told they don 't serve melbec by the glass only by the bottle,, my friend who is one of the top 2 surgeons in the country suggested I bought the bottle and to have a glass and take the bottle home... which I gladly did at the time,, only to be met with extreme disappointment when I price checked the meal when I got home as thought a meal for 2 people at £106.00 was ridiculous... The bottle of melbec I purchased cost £38.00 which is a total rip off as its less than £8 a bottle..... never will I eat from there again or ever recommend...

I've been here once in the restaurant before and was really impressed so wanted to have a takeaway. I'm currently breastfeeding my baby who has a soya and dairy allergy, and I am a vegetarian. This means I'm really restricted about what I can eat and where I can go for food. I sent a message to lots of local restaurants but the only one to reply was spiceden. I was delighted, they sent me a list of foods that could be adapted or were already free from dairy and soya. There was plenty of choice! We had a lovely takeaway, of mushroom Rogan josh, Quorn dansak and taka dhall along with rice and poppadoms. It was fresh, hot and not at all greasy.
