"If you want something a little different this is worth a visit. There is an outdoor terrace if the weather allows or an interior that is a bit somber for a lunchtime. The menu is quite innovative with a range of sizes from small plates to larger portions. and prices are competitive. Order at the bar quoting your table number and the food will be brought promptly. There’s a container of chilled water on the bar for self service and on the day of our visit the staff were donating their tips and selling cakes in support of the Macmillan big coffee morning."

"The only criticism we have about this restaurant is that we were seated near the toilets, and every time someone went to the bathroom, a cold draft would hit us. Despite the presence of a screen, the cold air still managed to reach us, leaving us with cold legs, cold hands, and even icy car keys in our pockets. We brought this issue up with the manager on our way out, and they acknowledged the problem and are looking for solutions. It was probably the coldest night of the year, and the restaurant is located on a high deck. Despite the chilly experience, we still appreciated the quality of food and service, but we would recommend dressing warmly if you decide to dine here."

"Excellent as always. We had tried to get in the night before but they were fully booked, so booked a table sharpish for the next night The food is always excellent and cooked so well. It was very, very busy but it never felt like the staff were in a rush or needed to go and be somewhere else. It was actually very well staffed which I was impressed with, some restaurants there’s 1 or 2 poor wait staff running around stressed. They deserved a tip which stupidly I forgot to leave (sorry) but will definitely be back as it’s one of our favourite places for steak. Highly recommend."

"Ordered the Lyfbox, lyf fries and a lyf burger. The sweet potato fries were cooked to perfection, very crisp, no sogginess and seasoned wonderfully to give it a savoury taste. The lyf box was made from simple ingredients of boiled riced, chopped vegetables and minced, ground beef but again combined nicely to give a heart warming and healthy experience. The burger patties were perfect, no oily residue and plenty of high quality meat content with just the right amount of pickle and garnishing in a healthy whole meal bun. Everything was neatly packaged into a doggie bag, and presented pristinely when opened up. I 'm so impressed by the quality of the food that it would be an insult to put in the same category as most fast food takeaway. It 's clear that a lot of thought and love was put into not just the food itself, but everything else with regards to the business. I 'm certainly voting it for Uber eats restaurant of the year. My only criticism? I wished I had more! I will for sure be trying out the burritos next time. Great job Alex and Beth!"

"First visit here for many years, heard it had been refurbished and that the food was great, so thought we'd give it ago. There was 9 of us in total and we all had the Sunday roast as they serve the curry menu later on. Kids could have chicken nuggets which they opted for. All the roast dinners were amazing, we had beef and and lamb between us and there was plenty of meat, very generous portions and plenty of veg brought in bowls to serve yourself. Roast potatoes and parsnips were delicious. Tables all kept clean when people left. Will definitely come back and try the curry and other menu options. Staff also very kind and attentive."
