"If you visit on the weekend, you'll find it packed with the Chelsea tractor crowd. However, midweek offers a more enjoyable experience that feels more like a cozy pub rather than a destination restaurant following a Times review. The Toad in the Hole was overcooked, but the steak was pretty good, and the liver and bacon dish was excellent. As expected, it's pricey since it's positioned as a gastro pub rather than a local spot. It competes with other nearby eateries that focus on food and not just drinks, like Ebrington, Horse and Groom, and even the Butchers in Stow. I'm not sure if the area really needs another option, but here it is. Overall, I’d rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 4 out of 5."
