"Hi. As I have said before, I only take the time to write a review so that I can share my honest opinions in an attempt to help others. I always give honest opinion be it good or bad. Last Friday evening I ordered a takeaway for five people, via Go Eat service. I was estimated a 40 minute wait, which is about right for a Friday night It now goes down hill from here 1 I only give one star because the system won’t accept zero stars, so my single award is for a reasonably good menu on offer. 2 When my food was 1 hour overdue, I tried several times to call the restaurant. 3 At 90 minutes late my wife finally got a response. My wife explained how late our food was enquiring if we had been overlooked. The very very rude person barked at my wife that they were very busy. My wife tried to get a word in saying that 90 minutes late was unacceptable and started to request a refund, the angry reply continued saying that any issue was with Just Eat and our food had just left the shop, the phone was then put down not allowing my wife to speak any further. Whilst filling in the complaint process on Just Eat our food arrived. That was quite encouraging as we are just over a mile from the shop. 4 I think it’s fair to say that all of our food was poor. It was cold Luke Warm , with only my Roti being hot, all portions were very small indeed. I am using other local restaurants as comparison of portion size. E G we always have the same debate 1 portion of chips or 2, knowing that we each will have some as with the rice. Always we end up saving the second portion until later untouched or only a handful taken. With that in mind this delivery, putting both portions of chips together was roughly 2/3 size of others. Plus I have never seen s potion of rice arrive that isn’t bursting out of the foil container when opened. This one was only just touching the lid as it was heaped up in the middle, presumably where the ladle finished tipping its contents. Finally, I will point out that this is the second time we have used this restaurant, with very similar results previously’ particularly late and Luke warm. I didn’t complain or review them as I like to give the benefit of the doubt. This occasion the sheer rudeness of staff on the phone has prompted my review. Also, you should know I am writing this 5 days later , so it is not ‘knee Jerk’. As an aside my daughter also complained to Just Eat requesting a refund and neither she or my wife have not received any reply. I advise choosing another option for your take away food."

"Firstly they asked for menu choices a week before we came, which I provided, yet still didn’t have the oxtail my husband ordered and didn’t tell us until we arrived. One manager then ticked off me and my husband which completed the list of everyone expected, I confirmed this to you, this was at 2.10pm. Nothing happened for 40 minutes when someone asked if everyone was here, I said I had already confirmed this when I arrived. At 3.30 someone came out and asked if they could serve the children first (who were getting very restless and hungry). They also served the starter and brought out 4 bowls of chips, when asked who they were for they were told ‘table 10’. 15 minutes later 4 half chicken meals were brought out for table 10 and after nothing more arrived I enquired about the chips for these meals and were told they had already been brought out. I complained about this shambles and 10 minutes later 4 more bowls of chips were brought out. I could go on about the awful service and the fact that it took 2 and a half hours to complete the service by which time someone had to leave and the celebration was basically ruined but there doesn’t seem any point. At no point did anyone apologise or explain why everything was running an hour and a half late, no one was offered a free drink or dessert and when I asked to speak to the manager she tried to say they were so late because I didn’t tell them that everyone had arrived until 2.50, which was not true. She then blamed table 10 for eating the 4 bowls of chips despite the waitress not saying who they were for or that they were to accompany meals (which wouldn’t arrive until over 15 minutes later) and placed them in the middle of the table ironically, they thought the manager had sent them out to compensate for the meals being so late. She then said by asking to speak to her, I was delaying service further. I am furious at the shocking customer service, we had 39 customers paying hundreds of pounds and we chose your establishment for our celebration expecting to make memories to treasure how wrong I was, the memories are ruined. The only touch of caring was when my aunt pointed to the sign saying ‘ask about our birthday meal free’ and the manager took off some money for my mother in law as it was her birthday it would have been better of course if they had told me that my mother in law could eat for nothing as it was her birthday. The whole experience was awful please don't book a special occasion here, the service genuinely couldn't have been worse."

"I frequently stay at the Premier Inn Redditch, but absolutely refuse their 'all you can eat ' breakfast. Firstly, it is overpriced, and secondly it is too much faff. I don 't have time for a sit down restaurant experience at that time in the morning, and I particularly object when I have to make my own toast and get my own cup of tea. The problem is that it is getting increasingly difficult to find a good place for breakfast in the local area. There used to be a great cafe in Sainsbury 's close to the hotel, where they would do a proper cooked breakfast for a reasonable price, (see my separate review on that), but that has now been downgraded to microwave heated sausage or bacon rolls. Insipid. So imagine my relief therefore when I discovered there was a breakfast place, The Good Breakfast no less, on the M42 that was on my route. I 've often passed Hopwood Services, but never had a reason to stop. This time I did. The service area itself is a bit run down. The temporary toilets a prefabricated structure outside the main concourse looked quite dingy and more trouble than they were worth, and the place was generally drafty and unwelcoming. The Good Breakfast itself was one of the very few outlets that were open. I went for the Traditional Breakfast, an option somewhat reminiscent of Wetherspoons, and at £7.49, similarly priced. But, unlike the Wetherspoons offering, I was disappointed that it didn 't come with any toast. Worse still, they didn 't have any orange juice, even though it was clearly listed as an option on the overhead menu. Quality wise, the food was pretty dire. Given that I had to procure the orange juice myself, from Subway next door, it was disappointing. A wizened, dry, poor quality sausage, a fried egg on which the yolk was cooked through, a shrivelled tomato, and just a spoonful of beans, all served on an impossibly small plate. When you see a small plate like that, you know the portions are going to be quite mean and grudging. Shocking, as Gordon Ramsay might say. On a positive note, the bacon was better quality than Wetherspoons, and the mushrooms ironically an item which doesn 't figure in the Wetherspoons equivalent were not too bad. One last observation: the receipt was barely readable because the thermal print was too feint clearly an issue with the printer or the paper. A sure sign that neither have been properly maintained, which tells you all you need to know. I might give it another try to see if the quality fluctuates, but for the moment the jury 's still out."

"“Recipes from my travels” visited deedar Indian cuisine for the first time last night 29/3/22, for my sister, lorraine 60th birthday meal. and lorraines kinder, samantha and gary could not have found a better place. in the heart of barnt green village, deedar indian cuisine. was founded in 1993 and had a completely renovated in 2018. the outside of the restaurant was smart and welcoming and inside was absolutely flawlessly clean. as usual, with wherever I seemed to go, I came there early, but the staff was very attentive and polite, even offering me a drink while waiting. when all the guests arrived, 9 adults and 4 children were sitting, among them a few small children to watch the well presented menu. Vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes were readily available, including traditional, house specialty and cooking signatures. I will not bore you with everything we had, all I want to say is that I had the malayan chicken biryani with Keema rice and without doubt it was one of the best I ever had. the fresh of the ingredients melt through the dish. in the did all enjoyed their meals to the fullest and all agreed with me that it was exceptional food. I also have to add that the staff was very attentive to the probably child, with warning of hot dishes etc. all in all, I would recommend the deedar to anyone who visits the opposite, the natives are sure to have such a restaurant in front of their doorstep. the restaurant can be used for single persons, couples and larger groups like ourselves and with fine impediment access, it has everything they need for a stunning meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. it also adheres to Kovid lines, with handsanitary available as soon as they go to the restaurant. the deedar is not licensed, but they are welcome to bring their own alcohol. softdrinks and non-alcoholic storage were available so that for teetotaller like me and guests who drive this was a welcome bonus. deedar has free wlan, a parking space and various offers, as well as a delivery service in the area. we all had an amazing birthday party for my sisters, who was made even more by the quality of food and workers."
