"I initially gave this charming old pub a glowing review, but after my partner and I visited about three weeks ago, my opinion has changed. We were looking forward to a great meal, but my partner's eggs royale on a muffin was inedible; the muffin was hard and stale, and the hollandaise sauce was unpleasant and hard to describe. My Chicken Satay skewers were also disappointing; the chicken was overcooked and tough, and the peanut sauce lacked flavor. We really enjoy our food, but we couldn't bring ourselves to eat what was served to us. It was particularly disheartening because we had previously had a good experience there. We learned that the original staff had left and the place was now run by new people, including a new chef. After voicing our concerns, we were only charged for one starter and two drinks. Given our latest experience, we cannot recommend this place, as you would likely be disappointed unless they improve their standards.
