"So lucky with our weather, my colleague and I were headed down to Normandy and St Valerie Sur Somme! On our return having had an excellent day (ironically the day prior to the horrid shooting of an Officer du police in Paris - Mon cœur va au peuple français à la perte d'un autre officier.)We'd had our breakfast in the Cafe de La Tour, but as I wanted 12 Escargot for my supper this was the place I chose.My colleague chose the Fillet of pork, with Salad and Fries and s rich gravy. I chose the Pave of beef, but asked for Medium Well (it was pink or red) super friendly staff, that's what keeps me coming back to both venues. The Centaur is often closed in the off season (November to March) I'm sure they make their money the rest of the year. Dear old Calais, often overlooked and much maligned it's a sweet friendly place with super restaurants like this. So it's not haute cuisine but it's good honest food, and kind friendly staff. If you are on your way to your Ferry, and have 75 minutes, create some good memories to look back on.Vive La France!"
