"the food lasted minutes to arrive. or should I say the first dish did: when my men arrived, I ate most of my meals. when I said that this was not acceptable the waiter (which was very nice) said that the kitchen was... led by a cook, they found it very stressful. that was no comfort that we were offered a faithful card with a future discount, but I fear we will not return. the food was delicious, but I found the pumpkin bento box could have been more generous. for and a minute wait I was disappointed by two pumkin fritters, some luke warm rice a tiny piece of salat picking. my men ramen was tasty, but when it arrived, little pleasure could be found. if they want good Japanese cuisine, I would recommend they go to the happy samurai instead!"

"Haven't sat in the restaurant side for a long time, completely changed menu, the food looked well presented with good options,. I thought it would just fish and chips, but there were good alternatives to deep-fried fish. I had basic cod and chips, which was served to perfection, cooked just right, the fish was moist, not dry, the chips were golden but not dripping in oil or fat."

"I recently visited Creams restaurant and loved it. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming. The desserts were delicious and looked great. The staff were friendly and made sure we had a good time. Creams is a perfect spot for a sweet treat. Highly recommended!"

"Hands down the worst customer experience I’ve ever witnessed. Clearly being run by children who couldn’t care less about the place. We came in for some dessert and the staff actually moved away and avoided eye contact which was a very strange “greeting” I then asked if we were okay to go and sit upstairs to which they replied “yes”. We picked out a sundae and a guy told us there was no ice cream, no explanation offered, were they out of every single flavour on offer, surely not!? Was the whippy machine not working? At this point we decided we were going to give it a miss as we felt very unwelcome. When we left there was no apology, no communication not even a good bye just blank stares from 4 “workers”. I never leave reviews but this was so poor it needed to be documented."

"our third visit to the mai 2022 in the nandos in canterbury was just as good as our previous two. excellent food and great service. our second visit in september 2021 was as good as the first. our first visit in March 2021 revealed a large nandos with friendly/helping employees and excellent Covid controls. we enjoyed a great early dinner of grilled chicken, peri-peri chips and spicy rice with bottomless drinks. ordering the meal was placed over the nandos app and arrived very quickly. the chicken was moist and tasty, and the nandos chips are just the best. the floorless drinks were poured out and filled up by the personal. we had dessert the tasty celestial cake for a nice meal. highly recommended."

"I ordered two pizza's from pizza hut. the last time I ordered from them was a decade ago, and never again. the bottom of the pizzas were drenched in oil, and flakey barley any ingredients, and completely misleading. on their website they ask you with garlic or without garlic so naturally I'm thinking they use the garlic somehow to make the pizza with. they are not clear about it, and tell you that when they say with garlic or without what they mean is with garlic sauce or without, that's their tactics saving 5 or ten pence from a pot of sauce so I got no sauce and when it comes to their sizes they have small medium and large, but for someone that hasn't ordered from them in years. your not to know what the sizes actually are. It's the worst pizza in the city. my advice would be do not buy from pizza hut. the only flavour you will get is vegetable oil. Buy from a local pizzeria they are way better by a long shot. you can get a better flavoured pizza from Asda frozen section believe me and it only costs £3 or £4 it was sickening yuck "

"My wife and I had a very nice lunch on Saturday, but I was not served what I ordered. The menu had changed recently and I was not advised of this when I ordered. I ordered a sharing platter which consisted of a selection of cold meats, rillettes, bread and a baked camembert with caramelised onions. This was still on the menu in the restaurant and also on the Cafe Rouge web site on the Internet. What I was served was six sausages, garlic bread, hummus and a baked camembert. It was nice but I do not think it was worth the same price as the selection of cold meats etc. I think the staff should have said the menu had changed when I ordered and I would have ordered something different. As usual the service was first class and all the staff very helpful and friendly."

"Exceptional takeaway experience and quite possibly the finest in Canterbury. The food is impeccably fresh and bursting with bold flavors. Their definition of "hot" is truly fiery, unlike some other takeaways. The staff are polite and efficient, providing speedy service. While most of the packaging is recyclable, there are a few areas for improvement such as the plastic outer wrapper and bag for chapatis. Generous portions and great value for money make this a top choice. Overall, you won't be disappointed dining here."

"Ordered Bruschetta as a starter . Absolutely tasteless. Very disappointed when it came , meant to be topped tomatoes, red onion and cheese . Arrived with just tomato! Highlighted this to the restaurant manager who came across rude and patronising . Only to be told ‘well we like to change things up’ . When we pointed the menu states with onion and cheese , she said I’ll check the menu and never came back . Filthiest restaurant window I’ve ever seen The large main window was dirty, cobwebs, bird feathers . Looks like not been cleaned in 20 years! Definitely put from ever going there again ."

"I have ordered from Kashmir a fair few times over the years and generally it has been quite nice food. However, last night the food arrived in its usual brown bag but has leaked everywhere. The food was also cold and the Mixed Meat Balti...was inedible as covered in what i can only describe as thick yellow cooking oil which even when stirred would not disappear to allow any balti taste to come through (of which there was no taste unfortunately! I don't think I will order again from them unfortunately as a waste of no wonder the JustEat driver sped away he was probably embarassed?!"

"my family treated me after graduation to a meal and that was my first time that I tried zizzi! I was so excited to see a lot of vegan dresses~ the atmosphere was amazing, the personal was friendly and helpful, they checked whether everything in order a few times, offered drinks and perfect customer service the eating itself was amazing, it was hot, it was delicious, it was the perfect meal to feed the souls that they even have the gluten-free alternative vegan ping! I will say that the situation is everything! my local zizzi is not as beautiful as this! I recommend canterbury zizzi! 5star experience (but the app allows only 4 stars since their not full vegan restaurant) omg and the price? hallo, do they eat the good for this price? I have ordered the lentil Ragù"

"Day out with the kids, the service was fantastic, greeted and shown to the table as soon as we got to the door, the place looks very clean and there is a nice chilled atmosphere, our server was Harry who was very happy and friendly, when taking our orders, he was very helpful with suggestions and recommendations, one of my teenager doesn’t like anything spicy and Harry helped with food alterations. The food came out it looked and tasted great, and Harry showed us how to use the chopsticks. I recommend it here the food and service is brilliant."

"If I had the option to give them a 0️⃣ I would. The size of the position given are ridiculous. We paid £30 for x2 lamb meat and chips one of the smallest portions we've ever had. Just eat app suggestions that it comes with salad and none turned up. Called them they didn't even care. I would not use them if I was anyone. They are a rip off. This is why they are rated 3.5, we usually order from Best kebab and they are amazing, unfortunately they were closed I believe as we couldn't order from them. please don't use them."

"When we first walked in the staff just didn’t acknowledge us there was no table of 6 available so asked if we could move the table of 2 and table of 4 together as they were next to each other and both free. At first we was told no and then after a bit of explaining we was told we’d have to wait 15 minutes so they could clear the table. There was a tray with a few empty drinks on. 15 mins was up so we all went in and sat down the tray with drinks on was still on the table and the table hadn’t even been wiped. After all getting settled the waitress finally moved the tray and explained they was busy. We ordered drinks and food together. The drinks took 20 minutes to come. I had coke in a bottle and a glass with ice in. My ice was already half melted. Over an hour later our food came out. Burgers were dry. The Mac and cheese was the worst thing I had ever seen. It was like really stodgy porridge and did not taste of cheese at all. Any time we asked the waitress something she just made it seem like we was asking her to go above and beyond for us when really we wasn’t being difficult even in the slightest. At the end we go to pay and they add a 10% service fee without even asking. Why would I want to pay 10% of my nearly £150 bill for a poor and quite disgusting service. The only plus’s side to this place was the decorations, the mayonnaise and the fact they allowed dogs in"

"during the time of the covid so service was a bit strange, although still charming and effective. but young, oh young was eating well. all my friends and I (5 in total) finished another plate, and the star of it was all the steak pee. by far and above the absolute best steak pie I had ever had so far in the whole of England during my 2 years stay. Five stars only. the location itself is also very charming and welcoming, beautiful even. perfect in the late afternoon and evening."

"I have been to Cote restaurants in various cities. The Canterbury my local one, and all have been consistently great. I always know I will get great food, service and value for money. No matter how busy the restaurant, it's usually really worthwhile. Today was the exception. The restaurant was not at all busy, but the service was terrible. Nice people, but more interested in chatting and hydrating themselves than the customers. I had to ask 3 members of staff for some water when I arrived. They informed us they had only just put the wine in the fridge so it was warm. We were given an ice bucket. The majority of the ice had melted and there was a maximum of 3.5 of water in it. It was also splashed on my friend's clothes. I had to ask them to clear our table at the end of the meal. It is not what I expect from Cote. Very disappointed as this is a treat for my friend and I. Will be thinking twice before going back. I never write bad reviews, but I feel this warrants it. Such a shame!"
