"Called in for an early evening meal. Staff are welcoming and polite. The place has a nice warm feeling which I'm certain would be even warmer at a busier time. The menu is a little light on choice but it's clear they don't want to prep for loads of dishes. We had the gammon and duck egg, the burger and a child's sausage and mash. The service was fast but the food is clearly freshly cooked to order with a side of fab onion rings and a bowl of fresh crunchy veg! One thing that I will mention is that the seasoning is quite high/heavy but it was delicious! You might wish to ask for less if you don't enjoy plenty.
