Burger was very dry, no cheese sauce as on menu. Cheese souffle looked like scrambled egg, not served in souffle pot. Eton mess, looks like it was made by a 5 yr old. However the cappuccino was devine.

Nice place but £28 for two (large) glasses of wine and a bag of crisps is outrageous. I’ve paid that in a 5* London hotel. Won’t be heading back anytime soon based on that alone. Price per person: £20–30

Not particularly impressed. Waiting a lifetime for any service. The mash was very bland, and the brownies, whilst rich weren't nearly as firm as one should be. As a final note if you're vegetarian and you don't like mushrooms then you have very little in the way of selection. No issues with the manner of the staff. Service: Dine in

Called in for an early evening meal. Staff are welcoming and polite. The place has a nice warm feeling which I'm certain would be even warmer at a busier time. The menu is a little light on choice but it's clear they don't want to prep for loads of dishes. We had the gammon and duck egg, the burger and a child's sausage and mash. The service was fast but the food is clearly freshly cooked to order with a side of fab onion rings and a bowl of fresh crunchy veg! One thing that I will mention is that the seasoning is quite high/heavy but it was delicious! You might wish to ask for less if you don't enjoy plenty.
