"Bumped into an old friend a few weeks ago in Aberystwyth, he was walking his dog out and about, anyway I offered to buy him a drink for old times at Wetherspoons and knowing that Spoons has got a no dogs policy inside we decided to sit on the seats outside. Blow me, after buying a pint we were approached by one of the staff who told us the manager had seen us on the camera and her asked to turn us away and to drink up and leave as there were no dogs allowed on their premises! Fair enough, we drank up and said our farewells. Blow me, today, Monday 9th Oct at 9.30am a tattooed chap was sat outside on the same seat as me with 2 growlers, real growlers, they looked like Bully’s, I walked past one way, and 20 minutes later I walked back again, and an hour later blow me, he is still their, and yet again, and even though staff were coming out to take glassware in he was still there, now come on, have the staff got one policy for a decent couple of people that they don’t like the look of or are the staff scared of Bully’s with a tattooed chap! Having said all of this, I do agree with the policy about dogs not being allowed in pubs and restaurants."
