"Attended a pre wedding party yesterday evening on August hosted by the Nandas (please check with the host and don’t deny the fact that this party ever happened or I did not attend like you do in response to your other reviews). To start with, horribly slow starter service. For a table service one would expect either the food to be replenished quickly or at least bought out when asked. Here you get a response, “wait, it’s being cooked.” No please, no sorry, in short, no manners. Here’s the real problem though. A restaurant of this size says, we have run out of Chicken Nuggets for kids. Who doesn’t have spare nuggets in the kitchen? And if not, should you not offer more chips instead? Keeping kids hungry is just not done. The mains were just okay quality/quantity wise but nowhere near their restaurant food. We have been to the restaurant many times and hence our expectations were a bit high, probably different chefs for restaurant and parties or whatever. But no complaints in general on mains and desserts. The final nail in the coffin. After dancing, I go to the bar asking for WATER. The very NICE lady says, “we don’t have any water jugs back here.” I ask for TAP WATER instead. She goes, “We don’t have any glasses.” I can clearly see at least crates of nice clean glasses behind the bar. Tired and really thirsty, I go to the other side near the kitchen end asking a waiter for water. Her response is even more alarming. NO WATER IN THE KITCHEN. Even my year old would not buy this answer. I really demand an explanation on the reason for not providing the most basic necessity to your guests. It was at night and did not want to raise it back then at the venue but without any explanation to this, I doubt anyone reading this review will ever want to host a party with Venue unless THE HOSTS ARE READY TO TAKE ABOUT BOTTLES OF LITRE WATER WITH THEM. In a nutshell, Venue did all they could to ruin the evening for the lovely couple. For anyone thinking to host an event here in the future, I am more than happy to come forward and share my experience in more details. YES, there was more than this but not trivial."

"We had booked a table for 7.30 pm dinner and after waiting in line we’re shown to a table. The table next to us was very very loud and discussing business on a Saturday night. We could not hear each other above their din. After 30 minutes a waiter came to take our order and we asked for a quieter table. We were told to walk outside to the terrace. Essentially this is an area in the thoroughfare of the hotel (inside) behind a wooden low fence. After another 20 minutes I went to find a waiter who said he would come out to take our order. After another 10 minutes I went and found another server. The waiter I had seen before recognised me and hit his hand on his head and came out to us. The starter was delicious but we had to chase up the bottle of wine and never got our glasses of water. When the main course was delivered by a lady she said “Bon appetit” but we said we couldn’t eat without cutlery. She promised us some but we never saw her again. After 5 minutes my husband went and found cutlery because his fish and chips were getting cold. My shepherds pie was tasteless, lots of potato and a thin layer of lamb in a watery tasteless gravy. Nobody ever came back to check on us. They add a discretionary 12.5% tip for a service charge which I didn’t think they deserved so we took the bill to the desk and told the manager of our experience. He blames the management for trying to reduce staff and told us it was our own fault because we voted for Brexit. I pointed out to him I didn’t. He said it is like that every night. He removed the service charge and 20% off the food which was fair but next time I stay at the Sofitel I will bring a picnic and save a pot of money and disappointment."

"Madhus Sheraton Skyline HeathrowDate of Visit: br/>Review: Arriving early and taking a drink in the hotel pool sky bar just on the ground floor courtyard takes you away and so you feel like you are on holiday, drink selection a mixture of a full bar including a few mocktails and cocktails. I had the strawberry kiss, a nice way to start the evening and this bar is open from Very good and friendly staff both at the sky bar and restaurant. The restaurant has a nice feel and has two private dinning rooms which is a bonus and an area to also cater for birthday parties. You get a view of the open kitchen which is always a nice feature and pleasant decor. A nice place to eat but the food is as you would expect and no real surprises, which is not necessarily a bad thing. You are also given complimentary mini popadoms and three sauces. Booking Process: I could not book by calling the main branch and seems like you just have to pop in or maybe call the hotel. Location: Located within the Sheraton Skyline hotel, London Heathrow, Hayes England.Tel: br/>Parking: Hotel has its own car park and if you spend over either the restaurant or hotel reception will validate your parking for hour stay. You need not pay at the meter just remember to get your car reg validated before you leave the restaurant.Decor Lighting: Not too bright or dull and heavy on the red but its done tastefully and a pleasant surprise. Ambience Acoustics: I did not take a DB value on the phone but the level of music is just right and you can have an easy and pleasant conversation without the need to raise your voice. We had the following Food: Sheekh Kebab A large portion of with a subtle spice and served with a little salad and mint sauce. Achri Gobi Malai Broccoli A large starter and served with a little salad. Had a good taste and remained crunchy but very subtle in taste so maybe a little bland for some. Khasta Veg Samosa A portion of two and really enjoyed this and served with a little saladMurg Makni and Rice and Garlic Naan (Main) A nice dish with a big portion of rice and main portion big enough to share. Well cooked and consistent with other places i have eaten so you won’t be disappointed. Bill Cost: for two of us without any alcoholConclusion: Good Service and fresh food but nothing out of the ordinary but a safe bet for an Indian. The menu is not the largest but covers all the main options and enough selection for all. One really big negative point to bear in mind is that they don’t do doggy bags so no take away and stating a silly excuse that its the hotel policy. Having eaten at nearly all hotel chains and many restaurants this is a disgrace and I would say that it should be mentioned when you are seated. I would suggest you order less then order more only after you finish what you ordered. I would still however be happy to go again if in the area as its a pleasant and relaxing environment. Rating: out of"
