Set within MAX Beach, you'll be greeted by the excellent front of house team and personally shown to your table. The staff are attentive and knowledgable and can advise on the options. The street theme is very much apparent as the dishes arrive fresh when made and therefore lose the traditional Starter Main course, a very original and bold change to previous times. The drink selection is very comprehensive and I recommend the AlX Rose which works perfectly with the spicy tones. A definite gem on the coast line and a strong alternative to travelling into Marbella centre. A booking is essential at the usual peak times. A place I would happily return back too!"

"the overseas is my absolute favorite restaurant in calahonda. the service is excellent and very friendly, you feel really at home here. eating is amazing, at this opportunity I was presented first with edamame green bean (on the house), then a delicious salmon tartare....Enjoy Chinese beer and the kindest attention of the staff. afterwards I had the sizzling lamb with black pfeffer sauce and white rice and in combination with vanilla ice cream, also the most delicious homemade nougat candy. exquisite! I had the opportunity and pleasure to visit overseas at several places on this stay, and I can only give the restaurant that eat and especially the staff with rose, my best recommendation. I'll be back!"

"eating is just great. the owner is all about high quality ingredients in the kitchen and cocktails. the choice of spirits, liars and wee shows a real dedication of the owner who best find at any price. the service is as they wish. we've been three times now and the food and drinks we've tried are all the top notch! the surprising thing is that this restaurant does not charge much for the dishes or drinks. I can say by keeping the owner that they never leave anything but real quality their kitchen. orte like these are difficult to discover when they are new in a contrary, so we feel very happy that we entered this restaurant. a Michelin star that I would bet when it was about eating, but it's attractive for me and charm comes out that it doesn't lick and shiny like a super posh place. "Scrambled egg very light yellow and tasteless; sausages cheapest possible and I'm guessing a very low pork content, almost tasteless; bacon looked like it had been stewed, again bland, tasteless and little colour; tinned tomato probably the item with the most taste, just a pity that they did not have the fresh grilled tomato that I asked for4; overall presentation really unattractive 4 items plonked in 4 corners of the plate, very little colour one look and you could tell that it was not going to be a decent meal. "the food is always fantastic in this restaurant with an extensive menu catering for every taste. my favorites on the menu are the prawns pil, deep fried camembert, huh and black pupet stack, Sirloin steak with the most amazing pfeffer willow to mention jot a few. if they desserts like the look inn is a winner for them homemade desserts of karen cheesecake not ordinary mars bar, mint aero, terrys choc orange. peach melba, eton measurement....the list is endless. i promise they will not be despised and they will return again and again."

"I booked a table earlier this afternoon for 9o’clock tonight, when we turned up (5 minutes early) they struggled to find us a table so they put us right in the corner of the restaurant, it then took them 10 minutes to bring us a menu, in my opinion it is the bare basics to give you a menu when you sit down, once we got the menu the staff completely ignored us, it took us less than 5 mins to decide what we wanted, once we closed the menus we expected them to be over, we tried to make eye contact (we did) they turned the other way and completely ignored us, we put our hands in the air still nothing, from this point they completely ignored us. After 30 minutes of trying to get someone to come over we just decided to leave and go somewhere else. Absolutely shocking excuse of a restaurant, don’t ever bother trying it, try Koco’s a couple of doors down, amazing service, incredible food. You can’t go wrong"

"We stayed in Cala de Mijas for 6 weeks of what we hoped would be winter sun but instead was a mixed bag of sunshine, showers and the odd thunderstorm. We could see La Piscine from the balcony of our apartment but alas there was...no shortcut across the 11th fairway of the Miraflores Golf Course so it was a twenty minute walk to get there. It was well worth it and we returned weekly on occasion for a coffee and slice of whatever freshly made cake Muriel the owner and chef had made fresh in the kitchen or for a meal and a bottle of wine. The food is fresh and tasty (recommend the burger and the club sandwich to share) and everything including the wine is very reasonably priced. We cant wait to catch up with Muriel and Julie again when we return in November."

"We visited this establishment after reading great reviews. The waiter who was less than helpful just grunted when asked if a table was free and basically pointed to the tables inside, all were empty bar two which had customers already dining. Every empty table was still full of past customers plates, food and drinks. We chose the one with less waste on it. A gentleman followed us in however it seemed it was his mate and he was given preferential treatment. He knew we were waiting and at no point did he apologise over the mess on our table or inform us he’d be with us shortly. We waited for a while and we were just ignored throughout. We got up and left and left the chap to have a laugh with his mate. Really shocking experience, we will not return or recommend this place. For the waiter and the face of the front of house needs to get another job if he doesn’t like what he’s doing."

"Having chosen the menu of the day for the crazy price of €10.95 I wasn’t expecting it to be anywhere near as good as it was. I ordered a glass of sangria which came loaded with fruit accompanied by half a dozen prawn crackers. From the options for starters I chose spring rolls there were 2 hot and tasty. From the choice of 5 mains I went for sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice (I could have had noodles or chips). They didn’t skimp on portion size and it was all hot and fresh. To finish I had a bowl of good quality vanilla ice cream (other options were coffee or Crème Caramel). The service was excellent, even offering me a complimentary peach schnapps when I paid the bill. I don’t know why this place was so quiet. If I lived here I would be a regular without a doubt. Not the easiest place to find as it’s upstairs but definitely worth the effort. Highly recommend"

"I’ve reviewed this restaurant previously, so no changes to speak of. Dined here on Saturday 30th December so a nice atmosphere pre. the madness of the following evening. Outside area closed as a bit to chilly, so had a nice table inside. I think I’ve mentioned in other reviews that you really don’t get anytime between starters and mains arriving, unless you pre warn them that you’re not in a hurry. The GLW had the sirloin steak and I had the beef brochettes, both very nicely cooked. After mains kicked back and relaxed before ordering dessert. Enjoy eating here as only a short 10mins walk home."

"the people from Great Britain make the largest part of the morning walking in mijas. it's a task to find somewhere open when they're an early starter. bella vista is the place to start her day. cafe con leche E1.40, ham and cheese croissant E3,...English breakfast E4.50 the tables outside are best so they can see that mijas comes to life. I know the names of people who run the caffe, but they are friendly, decent and offer a simple service without something in them like so many of the caffes and restaurants in the opposite. I hope they'll keep going well."

"We enjoyed our lunch here while sitting on the balcony, up away from the hustle and bustle of Mijas. The food was delicious and it was a nice change from eating Spanish food for the last month. My husband enjoyed his Goa chicken curry and my butter lamb was delicious. The naan bread was among the best we've ever had. The only glitch in our reservation is the address link in the Fork took us to a different location where we wandered around looking for the restaurant. We finally phoned them to find out where to go. The tapas was served beautifully on a 2 storeys slate tower with different kind of meats like sole, duck, egg, serrano and mini burger but also different vegetarian options like potato salad and bruschetta. All served with different kind of amount amount cream and sides. After the towers we just had to try more dishes and dessert. First the seared yellowfin tuna which was very delicious and tasted very japanese. The first dessert we had was a delicious Créme Brulée made with chocolate and as a second dessert we had a very very delicious Sticky Toffee Pudding with a lovely Vanilla Ice Cream and Caramel Sauce. The service was absolutely excellent and very friendly. We felt very welcome all the time we was there and it was easy to book a table by contacting Tapavino on Facebook.
