"Fortunately, we ordered only one dish each at this restaurant as we had to finish our meal in time to attend the excellent production of Richard the 3rd against the atmospheric backdrop of the Montcuq tower.My wife's goats cheese omelette had no texture, was flat as a pancake and no flavour.I chose Confit de Canard because I thought that would be a safe bet but somehow it managed to be dry without being crispy on the outside. Another safe bet, so I thought, was a bottle of Pic St. Loup red which at €27 should have been good. It wasn't corked though it might as well have been!Ironically, I am not sure there is anywhere else in Montcuq that is any better."
