"I don't expect bet prices to be cheap or to get a particularly fantastic food in a roadside bistro. And I found that I was right to have these preconceived ideas. What would have been good, however, is having a server that acted as if it gave at least a little blow. he literally approached our table without a word and looked impatiently as we tried to order our food under his malicious gaze. I asked questions about the size of their pizza and he said a decent size so that two people could share it. a 15€ that was not given but at least it would be enough to share with my nephew. I almost canceled the order when I noticed his dirty nails and I saw him cough in his hand but I stayed with because my nephew was tired and hungry. When the pizza arrived (slide on the table to us, without a word, by golum the server), it made 10 inches in diameter. I interviewed the server description on the size of the pizza with the manager, who, while trying at least to be charming, was completely mocking. "we only make pizzas in one size," he said tirelessly. "I understand that, but your server misled us," I patiently tried before I apologized. pizza has nothing special but my nephew enjoyed his half so he left happy, which made me happy. My advice is to give this place a large spot. irony is, and I can say it with confidence after many years in the service industry, that if the server had taken the pain of giving a little personality, being friendly and engaging with us, I would probably not have been so bored by the size or quality of the food"

"Sunday lunch took us this time in Paris' Hexagone, restaurant of the son of famed chef of L'Ambroisie. For a strange reason this Michelin starred restaurant does brunches on Sunday, which seemed a bit off to us but let's park that point, but we had the set menu. Be aware that in normal times, you would need to take the brunch on Sunday, us having a set menu was actually a booking error on the website and the honoured the lunch. On the food side, all was very nice at globally at level with expectations: from starter to main to dessert, it is definitely worth a star for the food. The 90 euros set menu is pricey, but what did you expect in this area of the capital... True to other comments the wine list is pricey, verging on the very pricey. We started with a pre-starter of some sort of vegetable consomme (very fine), slow cooked egg and wild asparagus (amazing, felt i was eating in a forest some wild vegetables), fine fish & finally wild strawberry dessert. All precise, delicate, portions perfectly sized. The maitre d' was remarkable, and he really made the experience enjoyable, always doing the extra mile to add to our moment.Only disappointment is the setting, which i would definitely not rate 1 star. It is a mix of flashy / tacky design, bordering slightly cheap, and already very tired looking. Though this did not bother us "per se", it really does disservice to the restaurant as it makes it look like a trendy gaudy place that i would prefer to avoid at all cost!However... all in all:Worth going: yes, but during the week & probably for lunchExpensive: yes, namely the wine"

"We went there several months ago to test the Pekinese duck in 2 services and we had left the service a little disappointed. a real say we are accustomed to a large starred Chinese restaurant that makes my sense the best pekinian betting duck. We could expect it a little too much.Brussel we decided to reiterate the experience and leave a chance to the lily to reveal all the splendour of a Peninsula. Here are my comments:the cut:- the duck was present to us in full with the visible head (it's a choice but we prefer it to be masked by a towel)- during the cut of the duck we almost saw nothing. as the tables are close enough and there were customers all around us, the people who have been able to see the cut are the customers on the tables that give on the service path. the first service: positive point- we found very interesting to have different cuts in the plate (crusting skin and pieces with skin flesh)- the duck alone was very good- the variety of vegetables proposed to put in the pan was very interesting negative:- the big black point for me was the pancakes. crêpes are simple crêpe à la française (version petit format). I know that this kind of crepes doesn't exist. Maybe the restaurant wanted to adapt to the French taste? if this is the case in my sense there is an inconsistency with the positioning of the restaurant. In short to come back to the pancakes, I would say they were really not very good. - the duck sauce was interesting but we knew better it's really bad because the sauce and pancakes are so important in the first service that if everything is not perfect, the duck taste is spoiled. I ended up eating the duck only second service:- very good surprise! The duck crunch was really great and we had a rice for accompanied that was perfect. Fortunately we did not finish on a good note ):ps: other points that made the difference during our meal:- service was a bit "brut. it was lacking a bit of finesse (this is not the case for other hotel restaurant/bar)- the decor is really sumptuousI hope to have been constructive. Maybe we'll try the restaurant again but choosing different dishes."

"In a very beautiful setting made of cows’ skin furniture, the restaurant offers a reductive selection of bovine meats. the pieces are generous, at the height of the prices practiced. If the meat is good, we deplore a rich cuisine that alters the taste of the products, yet of quality: we feel the cream more in the coconut egg and the only bearnese sauce that accompanies the meats has a taste of fresh whipped cream. I was disappointed with the cooking of the bone with a marrow: the thick part of the marrow was half raw, making its taste eccentric, despite its promising accompaniment of roasted weepers. On the meat side, we deplore a reduced card, as well as a total absence of explanation despite an extremely high price level: we would have enjoyed a minimum indication of the origin of the farm, as well as the maturation time. Also, cooking is not accurate on the more consequent parts: we asked for two point slices. it was served us a large tin for two (why not), well soothed, but bleeding inside, which no longer corresponded to the demand. In addition, for an establishment that is spreading to offer exceptional meats, it is quite surprising to see the absence of kobe beef on the map. the kir is not worth the 8 euros that cost and would certainly have won to be served cooler. In summary, go to this restaurant to eat a very good meat in a beautiful setting, but don't count on wine, inputs or accompaniments to sublimate your meal. The service is kind, but that is not enough. In an establishment that invoices its reputation on the quality of the proposed meat, it is imperative that the servers spontaneously provide a minimum explanation on the products, not only on demand and at the end of meals."
