"Hi,I promised I would point you in the right direction for real value and decent food in this part of Quartu and here it is.As above it was a mixed and disappointing experience from previous visits but disappointing only because two items were not up to the usual standard. I ate here three times last month,a Friday,Sunday and Monday, all after 2000hrs and not really for a main meal, more a top up. The first evening I had the mussels with toasted bread rubbed with garlic, absolutely superb 1 66cl bottle of Ichnusa. 10 euros!! Second evening I had a seafood pizza which was only just ok,it arrived with the horror of crabsticks on it.That was the first let down, why put squid, octopus etc on a pizza and then crabsticks? Still, had 4 66cl bottles of Ichnusa and the bill was 18 euro. 3rd visit 17/03/14.............again had a huge bowl of mussels and wonderful toasted bread..............pushed the boat out and opted for grilled Gamberoni. They looked good and smelled good. They were the second let down, dry, overcooked and generally pretty disgusting.I realise they probably came out of the freezer but they were a huge disappointment even so. I told the owner but no discount only a shrug, but that is what he is like,so laid back you would think he did not care.I know he does though and I know he was not happy and I am sure he will correct this. Even so in addition to the food I had a few beers and then a coffee with a shot of brandy and then a shot of Caribbean Rum which would equate to a tripple English measure. (Cuban Dark Rum). The total bill was euro 28 and imo outstanding value, take off the Gamberoni and it is less than euro 20. I can forgive the Gamberoni and nominate here as the most outstanding value for a meal and a few drinks of ANYWHERE within 5ks.However do not think of here as cheap and ****,mostly very good quality.Walk around the corner and pay double for the same if you choose. Pay 4.25 for 33cl Ichnusa on Via Roma or 2.50 for 66cl here?"

"Do not let the location and other’s thoughts about the location keep you away. This is a lovely restaurant with really nice attentive, enthusiastic, helpful and attentive staff. Once in the grounds of the restaurant, you will be looked after. Even parking was assisted by a very helpful attendant. It can be a little bit difficult to find but persevere and you will be rewarded. We just asked for a cold antipasto misto selection) of seafood to start and we were rewarded with a lovely selection of diverse seafood dishes. Each dish was beautifully presented with each piece of seafood perfectly cooked. This was accompanied by a toasted bread and Sardinian thin crispy bread Pane Carasau both were delicious. We also left the wine choice to our waiter who suggested some light, flavoursome Sardinian white wine a great choice and reasonably priced. After our starters we were pretty full and asked for one portion of spaghetti a la Vongole clams) with bottarga dried mullet roe a Sardinian speciality), for us to share between the two of us. This was delicious and we have now resolved to buy some botterga to take home. After this, we really just enjoyed the rest of the wine and the general atmosphere around us which was delightful. A smile and bono sera goes a long way! This is not a cheap restaurant but I would consider if very fair for what we had, as others have commented. It is also quite special. Being Italian, feel free to ask for what you would like and do express any special likes or dislikes this will be easily accommodated. All in all a lovely experience and we will definitely be back before our holiday comes to an end."
