"Historic restaurant located on the outskirts of SML. rustic environment like in the restaurants of the time with fireplace and outdoor garden for the summer. Meat dishes or traditional Ligurian first courses are offered, no fish. Prices lower than average for restaurants in the area. Even the price increase on wines, of which there is a wide choice, is not excessive. As the only minus I would like to point out the fact that the waiter opened the wine and left without tasting it and the fact that all the dishes were quite bland (personal taste of course) not enhancing the flavours. Very friendly and welcoming staff (they changed our order quickly without problems). I recommend it for an unpretentious dinner at good prices. Parking: Parking directly under the restaurant, if very busy it may be necessary to park underneath and walk for a while"

"We went for lunch today, 4 of us, a welcoming place. One big negative note: they served us the house bread (8 mini pieces of bread with the same number of olives), all of which was not requested but was supposed to be included in the service. We pay and go home where, perhaps out of our own lightheartedness, we check the receipt. And here comes the catch: we were charged €8 for the aforementioned bread as an APERITIF! Tiramisu to avoid, not of own production. Decent first courses."

"There were 4 of us at dinner with friends, the place was recommended to us by a person who lives in Rapallo. The entrance, from the outside, doesn't do justice to the place (it looks like an old bar, it doesn't attract you , but in reality the interior is large, spacious, with nautical style furnishings, hanging fishing nets, etc., very characteristic and pleasant. We tasted many starters (mainly fish, all excellent and a second course each (sea bass, rabbit, octopus, also excellent . Drank 2 bottles of Pigato (white, still, at €22, excellent price, highly recommended . Friendly service (not a given in Liguria, alas... and fast. €40 very fair price."

"I failed, I took a first course of fish, the sauce was lukewarm and the mussels were cold, not to mention the small piece of garlic that I caught before opening my mouth, but even if you are not a great cook they are the elementary bases for serving a dish, dark and cold environment, the door open for more than three quarters of an hour, and it was 10 degrees outside, very cold in that room!!! Basic service nothing special, and to think that I had put the piece of garlic on the serving plate, at least there was an excuse!!!"

"We entered somewhat by chance and it seemed like a welcoming place. The two of us had very good and plentiful typical Ligurian first courses. Even the mussels taken as an appetizer satisfied us. Negative note was the mixed fried fish: the batter remained soft and everything was oily. A real shame since we liked the previous dishes. 3 stars also for the service because the tables were close together and the chatter of the waiters and customers prevented the conversation between the two of us a bit."

"Bottom line avoid this restaurant. Very disappointing from start to finish. First clue is the terrible bread left on the tables for guests. It is dry, stale, and tasteless. My wife ordered linguini with clams. It was dry, unseasoned, few clams, and basically tasteless. I ordered the gnocchi gamberini for my primi. It came swimming in olive oil, was tasteless, and I needed a microscope to find the few tiny shrimp in the dish. I ordered the fresh fish of the day for my secondi. The sea bream tasted fresh but was unseasoned and plain, and had many bones left in it by a careless chef. Just plain fried potatoes for the side yuk. The salade mista was totally forgettable. Add together the bad food, sparse wine list, and no view of any kind except a wall despite the waterfront location, this is a restaurant to avoid while in Rapallo."

"Se volete assaporare i tradizionali sapori liguri rivisti in chiave moderna, ma col calore delle migliori trattorie....questo è il posto che fa per voi!!!! Optato per il menù degustazione da 30 euro che comprende giro di antipasti, scelta di un primo ed un secondo, mezzo litro d'acqua ed un quarto di vino. (cena) Gli antipasti sono saporiti e si percepisce la preparazione casalinga. Nel mangiarli si pensa siano pochi, ma si apprezza alla fine quando, dopo il dessert, ci si alza soddisfatti e sazi al punto giusto. Come primi abbiamo optato per: ravioli con sugo di tocco...semplicemente sublimi, se amate gli agnolotti (in Piemonte chiamiamo così i ravioli) dovete assolutamente sceglierli!!! tagliatelle ai mirtilli, cipolle rosse e fonduta di pecorino: sapore particolare e decisamente stimolante per il palato Per il secondo ci siamo divisi tra carne e pesce...entrambi deliziosi!!!! Non abbiamo potuto poi sottrarci al tiramisù fatto con la focaccia ligure al posto dei savoiardi. Inutile spiegarlo, posso solo suggerirvi di provarlo. Per non sbagliare abbiamo poi concluso con degli amari locali di cui non ricordo il nome, ma assolutamente il sapore. Personale cortese e, cosa più importante, si percepisce la loro passione per il cibo ed il loro bellissimo locale. Se siete a Rapallo andate a mangiare lì, non ve ne pentirete!!!!"

"We had lunch here on a Sunday in February and with the 25 euro menu which includes a first course, second course with side dish, water and wine we ate in a nice place, with excellent service and good food. It is possible to choose between various options of the day and we tried the raviolini with fish sauce, a calamarata with walnut sauce, a veal steak with potatoes and cuttlefish with peas, all accompanied by a glass of Vermentino and an entree of welcome. In my opinion an excellent solution for value for money!"
