"I visited this restaurant on a bank holiday Sunday, as I have been here many times before. It wasn't particularly busy, so we chose to sit out back with our two small children and dog. The outdoor area was lovely. We ordered our food at the bar, which was chaotic. The two women serving were incredibly slow, and despite there only being two people ahead of me, I had to wait a long time to be served. By the time I was, the line behind me had grown out the door for no apparent reason. The food was okay, nothing special, but not terrible. A few small improvements could make it better, such as serving a small jug of gravy with dishes that are meant to have gravy (as there have been shortages in the past). The fish and chips were okay, but not outstanding. The children's sausage dishes were good, except for the instant mashed potatoes. The other members of our group enjoyed their burgers and chicken dishes. I probably won't hurry back to this restaurant, but since it's convenient, I may return. The staff could definitely benefit from some training."
