"It was alright food but sadly not great food. The curry spices had a good balance but didn’t delight and the non meat portions were on the generous side especially the rice. The grilled peshwari bread was the biggest taste disappointment as it tasted only sugary but then it was only £3. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the seating was ok; the decor is a bit 1970’s. I had a paneer main dish, which was fine but honestly, and I do keep referencing the fact that M&S curries are so much better flavoured and generously portioned. My wife had tandoor chicken shashlik main there was no tandoor used in cooking our food here) so the flavour was just sort of alright if you want to be kind when it could have been great. All the food arrived really piping hot. This was a first for us, in that where we come from, if one orders from the tandoori part of the main menu a curry sauce comes with the order but here it was a separate charge. The poppadoms too were extra when again we usually get them complimentary. The bill was £55 for two curry mains, a pilau rice, a way overcooked potato and cauliflower side, sweet nan, a pint of beer £5) and a 175ml glass of rosé. We added a tip ourselves. There were only two other diners at 7pm on a Thursday night. I doubt we’ll return not because it was bad but because it’s just not good enough. Here’s the thing, as eat out prices are rising folks who do dine out now rightly expect a full flavour darn good dine experience not oh well that was just ok. Summing up, although it’s a restaurant the food seemed more like what you’d cook at home as an amateur working from no skill or knowledge f Asian cooking or how to use spices to impress guests and from the cheapest ingredients you could find from an average supermarket."

"on 5th januar 2015 I was happy enough to stumble with some friends about the device scoops gelato southampton. to my joy, when entering into the load we were put under pressure by a coworker (the charming karina) to try all the aromes behind the theke. as milk products as it is. we accepted it. I will now list my highlights and regret tasting. we decided to start in the upper right corner of the counter that was on this particular day. Now don't make me wrong, jordan's far from coffee crazy. but this coffee ice cream was a joy in my mouth. personally it was a 4.5 out of 5. great start mr. scoops. we're pulling the counter down to the nut department. affected nuts: pistachio and hazel. both strong options but the pistachios really took the cookie. we're talking about sensual ice. because we touched the thema of cookies, let's talk the keksteig. Now I hate being selective. but the cookies to me had a texture as if they were completely cooked. isn't it a bit of a bite? now they stop picking as this is actually one of the most beautiful aromen behind the theke a 4.95 out of five (jordan collings top scorer.) white chocolate and erdnussbutter were also highlights of me. now we go to the hidden counter around the corner where they can unlock such aromen as: toffee, kiwi yogurt, chocolate sorbet and passionsfruit sorbet. I would say the best of them was the turbid. it was incredible. eis couldn't believe it. the passion fruit was also a joy to lick the spoon. now we come to the negative. all in the hidden counter. I can see why they hid these aromes. chocolate sorbet. who ever thought that would be a pleasant experience? it reminded me of a viral video with two girls and one cup. at the time I assume that even a few people booted. it is an egg that a very specific niche looks at. the same can not be said for the Kiwi prayer. I just feel that the room in the freezer could be used better. for example ferrero rocher or smarties? oh, yeah, that's mr. scoop. I had the three creatures that only cost me £4.50, I decided to pistachio, toffee and keksteig. it was a pleasure to consume. since writing this review we have bought free food. mr. scoops is the man. don't go to care."

"I had been excited for weeks to visit red dog saloon as I have visited before and the chicken was good. We went on a Saturday evening and firstly it was very busy. We had booked a table so we’re seated after a short wait. Service was slow but it was busy. We ordered two main dishes (both chicken), a side of burnt end mash and a side of nachos. The chicken was very good. Plentiful in portion size and great flavour. This was the highlight of the meal. The mash was one of the most atrocious portions of mash I have ever laid eyes on. Swimming in what could only be described as fat rather than gravy. No taste other than fat and mash of such questionable consistency it didn’t appear there most of the time. This needs removing from the menu or changing asap! Scandalous presentation for £7.50. Nachos were stale and disappointing. No salsa and cheese on them also had no flavour. Not great for the £10.50 we paid for them. Service continued to slow the longer we stayed to the point where our plates were not cleared after our meal. Servers were often clearing tables that were empty rather than attending customers still at the restaurant (who may continue to spend money on drinks or desserts) or were talking amongst each other. We sat staring at the cold congealed mess of mashy fat before getting up, asked to pay with a server and left. Left disappointed as they had been great on previous visits. Sadly lost a customer here."

"Went for my son's birthday, pre booked as always and as requested on the booking said it was for his birthday. Turned up, no one about, just 1 customer visible, after a few minutes someone appears, didn't take my name and said sit in a booth if you like! Not shown to table, spoken to about the menu, nothing! Had to gesture someone over to enable a order to be placed, 3 guys just standing by the bar chatting! A guy in tracksuit bottoms who didn't have a clue took the food drinks order, asked for coleslaw but was told they didn't have any when the menus are reprinted it will be removed, also asked for draft coke but was told only little bottles available, yet a bit later I see them making a cocktail using a 1.5ltr bottle. Both our 8oz fillets arrived, both ordered medium rare, 1 was the other was at best medium. I'm not too fussy but expected it to be on point. Both very tasty. Plates cleared, and then just sat, I had to ask for the desert menu, asked if they had just ice cream, the chap in the track suit was unsure so just walked away and asked the 2 by the bar, some looking about it was then decided that they didn't have any. Asked for the bill was told to pay by the bar! At one point the background music stopped for a while, I had to ask for it to be turned back on, they did but started playing foreign music! In the Shisha bar a smell of weed came out at one point! Not impressed, nor the chief whom came out to the bar and stood with a cigarette in his mouth! (Unlite) I've been going here for years and the old Woking restaurant, last year for my son's birthday they put a candle in his desert and sang him happy birthday, he has been on at me for months to go again this year. I can only presume this restaurant is under new ownership, if so they have loads to learn or there business won't last. Disappointed is an understatement! Rather spend my money in Miller Carter chain that's saying something!"
