Popped in for a family meal, very average food, lacking options on the menu, chicken madras was watery and bland Very disappointing

We have never experienced such hospitality towards my daughters dog she is a Great Dane and we ordered some gammon for her but they didn’t have any so burgers was the next option and she had a generous portion she has been spoilt our food was lovely to Thank you land lady and land lord

We had a meal at this restaurant and both ordered the Cod and chips with garden peas. It was delicious and good value. However, we also tried the Crème Brûlée, which was decent but overpriced at £7 each. Overall, it is a charming English country pub that features live bands once a week. Speisekarte ansehen

The pub itself is nice but when your greeted buy customers telling you not to have food its rubbish. Does leave you feeling sceptical however we did have a roast and it was average at best and over priced for what it was so I'm sure it a place for a drink but would not recommend the food honestly

We had a fantastic evening at the restaurant. The food was outstanding, especially the homemade steak and Guinness pie which was both generous and delicious. The tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly. The quality of the food was impressive, especially considering the reasonable prices. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Just had a Saturday evening meal for 2 The food was fantastic, and the staff were awesome. Very attentive, and polite, regularly checking if everything was ok or if we wanted anything else. Had a fabulous starter and main course but no room left for the deserts that looked equally good! Looking forward to coming back again in the near future to try them! Thankyou Speisekarte ansehen

We turned up as a family of 10. Serving staff ok, Waited over 1 hour for food and had to ask multiple times. The food was not served as advertised and could not be rectified. A simple we don’t have that choose please pick something else would have been better then us waiting for some hashed up meal with things they had left and bits missing or different. 3/10 eat there food. Priced are sky high for quality served its disappointing. Drinks and aesthetic of the pud were fine but the overall service and food would be a disappointment for even a tasteless,deaf, blind man.

I really love this cozy pub located on the outskirts of the New Forest, with a spacious garden as well. What sets this local pub apart for me is the food. It is reasonably priced for the area and the quality is always excellent. I haven't been able to visit for a while due to being unwell all summer, but our recent visit lived up to my expectations. The portion sizes are also very generous. I highly recommend trying the brie starter or the cheeseboard, they are outstanding. The brie is particularly delicious, and I wish I knew where it was sourced from. Overall, I highly recommend paying a visit to this pub.

I visit today with a very elderly lady who was on her first outing after being seriously ill in hospital and having to move into a care home, the first time she had been out in over 2 months, the kitchen had closed which would have resulted in me having to get her back into the car and out again somewhere else (no mean feat) had the chef Ryan? And the chap behind the bar (sorry didn’t get his name) not stepped up and offered to still make us some baguettes for lunch, words can’t describe how this act of kindness impacted on our day, I did tell them before I left but I thought it nice to inform the management too via this platform thank you again Speisekarte ansehen
