"We chose to visit on a Wednesday to take advantage of the 2-for-1 pizza offer for Orange customers, which also included 2-for-1 on doughballs, making lunch very affordable. I particularly loved the vibrant color scheme and the summery vibe of the restaurant. The bright plastic glasses were appealing, but I did notice that they didn’t appear very clean. The doughballs were tasty, although the garlic butter was quite heavy and could have benefited from another flavor, as it felt somewhat bland. I had already used my cutlery for the starters, so it would have been nice to receive clean utensils for the pizzas, which weren't pre-cut. While the pizzas were decent, they didn't stand out as anything special. Midway through our meal, however, there was an incident that disrupted the experience; a waitress tripped in the restaurant, leaving her visibly shaken. Following that, it seemed there were some issues back in the kitchen. We even overheard the restaurant manager exclaiming, "What is actually wrong with this restaurant?"—a moment that echoed across the dining area and created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Additionally, I noticed the manager handling paperwork in large piles on one of the dining tables, which detracted significantly from the restaurant's ambiance and felt quite unprofessional. These hiccups seemed to stem from typical challenges faced during a restaurant's initial weeks of operation. While I would have rated this experience one star due to the overall discomfort, I did appreciate the apologetic and kind demeanor of the waitress, who remained gracious despite her distress from the fall. Overall, it was a disappointing lunch."

"Bit disappointing. We had breakfast here in April ‘23 for convenience, as we stayed at the Premier Inn which we could not fault. The breakfast however was disappointing. Non-dairy milk was provided on request, someone then had to go and look for it, open a pack, gave me enough for one drink, and then put it away again, after having waited for it the first time for a while at the counter, I did not bother with a second drink. It was nowhere near as nice as my coffee machine at home. As the ‘all you can eat’ is no longer self-service, we waited for about half an hour to get our order in, making us a bit late and rushed for our timed-entry at the castle. We’d long finished our drinks and croissants before we finally got to order. I had mentioned earlier to the waiter that my croissant had had a hair in it. He said to put the hair in the bin, I told him the hair was baked into the croissant, he then just pointed at the bin, and told me to have an other one, but I was a bit put off by then. Later someone mentioned that you can also ask to have your croissant warmed up, but this was not apparent from any sign. When my breakfast came it had a bit of cooked plastic into the egg, like from bacon wrapping, I didn’t bother mentioning it, just fished it out, had my breakfast and went. Sausages were nice, and had it been buffet I would have had an other one, so I imagine they save a lot of money by running it this way instead! The rest of the food was pretty mediocre. I won’t be back for breakfast in a hurry, but had a lovely night at the Premier Inn though. As this is very close to the center, if walking is not a problem for you, I’d go somewhere else!"

"I revisited Molly Malones Stirling on November 18th. I had previously visited earlier in the year with my husband and found it to still be popular with a diverse crowd. We started off sitting at the bar for drinks, noting that spirit measures were 25ml per serving. The server, Caithlin, who may have been the duty manager, was a very pleasant and welcoming young woman. Prices for a pint of Carling and a double Bacardi with mixer were reasonable. After looking over the menu, my husband and I decided to stay for dinner. We moved to a table with a good view of the many televisions showing English and International football. We ordered our food at the bar, with me opting for a chicken bacon sandwich on sourdough bread and my husband choosing a Rarebit burger. The food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, although I had to wait an additional 5 to 10 minutes for my side of thick cut chips. The sandwich was generously filled and came with coleslaw and a fresh green salad garnish with a touch of mint. My husband's Rarebit burger was topped with a beer-flavoured cheese sauce, pigs in blankets, and rosemary salted fries. He mentioned that he couldn't taste the beer in the sauce, and I found the pigs in blankets to be dry, possibly indicating they were precooked before being added to the dish. Overall, the food was decent, the service from Caithlin was excellent, and the atmosphere was lively with a mix of clientele. The prices were fair, and the restroom was clean."
