"My friend and I spontaneously booked a night at this hotel on our way back home from a trip up North, along with my friend's small dog. The booking process was easy and we arrived around 8pm. Despite previously declining a dinner reservation, the hotel was happy to accommodate us for dinner. The meal was delicious! Our twin room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The en suite bathroom and shower were fantastic, with minimal noise reaching our room. The best part was the French doors that opened up to a stunning view. We were on the top floor and had a great view of the loch and hills. The only downside was the traffic noise from the main road below, but the room and view were definitely worth the price we paid. There was easy access from the car park to walk down to the loch side and we enjoyed a long walk along the cycle/walk trail with the dog at sunrise. Breakfast was included in the price and it was lovely, with a self-service continental option and a choice of cooked breakfast. The food was of high quality and my dog enjoyed her sausage. Dog owners were seated separately with their pets in the bar area, but it was laid out similarly to the rest of the dining area with window seating and beautiful views. This also ensured that other guests were not bothered by dogs during mealtimes. We felt well taken care of and the staff were all very friendly. We had a great time and will definitely be back to this excellent value for money hotel."

"Went in for breakfast on a cold, rainy November morning. The first thing that struck me was how cosy the place was there's a wood fired stove at the front and another through the back and they were blazing away making the place lovely and toasty. The space is nice there's lots of room and although it got a lot busier quite quickly after we went in, there was nobody sitting really close to us and it didn't feel crowded. As an aside, I don't often comment on the toilets but I was actually really impressed with the toilets here, they were lovely and I liked the little notice board in the ladies' with local notices on it. The breakfast menu has a great selection, with everything from a full breakfast to pancakes to French toast to eggs benedict to simpler options. And it's really reasonable french toast with bacon and maple syrup would only set you back £4.50, the full breakfast is under £8. I went for the eggs benedict with crispy bacon, Him Indoors went for the full breakfast. Both were good not knockout fantastic (one day I'm going to write a book about my hunt for the best eggs benedict in Scotland), but really good and, considering the prices, seriously good value for money. We sat and had a second round of coffees afterwards (the coffee was lovely) and with breakfast and two drinks each for three people it came to around £35. The staff were super friendly, really chatty and the whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I'd like to go back to try their evening food as well to see how that compares, but I would definitely recommend it for a good breakfast at a great price."

"What a lovely lunch we had here. There were three of us (my partner, my baby son and I) and we needed to stop en route back south from a wedding in Glencoe. My son was due his milk and when we saw the sign for the shark toilet we had to check it out. On entry, we were given such a warm welcome by a chap who offered us the conservatory or the other side of the cafe advising it would be a bit warmer for our baby there. We really appreciated this thoughtfulness. After sitting down our order was taken promptly and we got the warm water howl we requested in record time to warm up our baby's milk. When our food arrived we could see it was topnotch and devoured it pretty quickly! The soup was delicious and the sandwich and toastie were exactly what we needed. The lovely staff checked in with us so kindly and made us all feel so welcome. The changing room/bathroom was absolutely ideal as it had a seat to put baby in whilst I got all his changing bits and bobs organised and out his bag. I even told the staff how wonderful this was as it is often such a juggle holding my baby and getting everything sorted! The shark toilet also didn't disappoint and was such a unique setup. Our son loved it. All in all, a great experience and we hope to be back again soon. Highly recommend for the warmth, kindness, lovely staff and of course, delicious food. Thank you for making us all so welcome! Including our baby boy."
